I strive to create a warm, safe space for clients to explore those things in a supportive, non judgemental environment. My style is easy going and friendly, with the definite use of humor. My approach is collaborative and respectful, with the focus on assisting clients with utilizing the strengths they possess to problem solve and facilitate change for themselves.

Do you desire to find happiness and harmony in you life? Difficult life experiences can create negative beliefs about yourself, that get stored in your unconscious. I'm a relational therapist specializing in treating grief & loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, & parent-child relationships with adolescents & adults. Feeling stuck in a particular area of life such as your relationships, school/work, identity, or emotions? Sometimes we find ourselves repeating old habits that no longer serve us. I often work with individuals experiencing issues around shame and self-worth, who view themselves much harsher than the rest of the world. I offer room to explore these patterns with compassionate curiosity and supportive guidance for you to start trying something different – space for a new narrative.

Womanhood is full of moments that quietly rewrite who you are — becoming a mother, losing yourself in a relationship, stepping into a new chapter with no map. Maybe you're pregnant or newly postpartum, and the experience looks nothing like you expected. Maybe your children are growing up, and you're not sure who you are outside of that role. Maybe you're carrying anxiety you can't quite name, trying to hold everything together while quietly wondering if there's a different way to live.

Need to talk? Feel stressed, confused, or overwhelmed? Need to work through issues that maybe keeping you from being your best? Its important to get help we need & I'm so proud of you for being here- that's often the hardest part is asking for help. Therapy to me- is like Kintsugi, the art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with gold, - making it even more beautiful. This treats breakage/flaws as the most amazing part. It takes on a positive approach to healing. "Trauma" actually means wound- once healed- it can be stronger than ever before.

I see kids, teens, and adults who are bright, thoughtful, and exhausted from trying to hold it all together, hoping testing might bring answers. Maybe no one has truly seen them. They may struggle with anxiety, depression, burnout, or some religious trauma, and maybe they wonder if ADHD or autism explains lifelong patterns. They need clarity, validation, and practical next steps: and zero judgment. Their goal is to understand their brain, reduce shame, and function with more ease. They want answers so they can stop blaming themselves and start living confidently and authentically. I'm a trained neuropsychologist and here to help.

Women's Issues Therapists
How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.

How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
