Hi, I’m Heather. I help individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, especially those facing neurodivergence, trauma-related effects, or school-related challenges. I am looking to connect with those who experience issues with school or life adjustment, social life, depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism (levels 1 and 2), and trauma/abuse. I am skilled at working with teens and adolescents, but I connect well with all people.

I believe that most people want to learn ways in which they can lessen the amount of stress in their lives. A person's thoughts and feelings can often stay trapped in the negative issues of the past or be pushed forward to the concerns of the future. These two states of mind can invariably lead a person to experience depression and anxiety. Learning new techniques that allow the person to put aside the problems of the past and worries of the future allows the person to fully engage themselves in the present and capture the joys of the moment, bringing a state of happiness to their life.

I am big on expounding on your goals, holding space for accountability, and assisting you in developing a plan that meets you exactly where you are. Let’s just say I am the passenger in your vehicle or the caution sign you pull up to during traffic.

I am inspired to support professionals who are capable, motivated, and care deeply about doing well—yet feel anxious, overwhelmed, or worn down by constant pressure. Over time, stress, anxiety, or low mood may begin to affect your sleep, focus, relationships, or ability to enjoy your accomplishments. Therapy here is a supportive, collaborative space to slow down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and develop steadier ways to care for yourself—so work and life can feel more manageable.

Life can be hard. Sometimes it feels like you’re getting sucked into a black hole. Maybe it’s depression, anxiety, PTSD or past traumas, grief, current relationships, substance use, or life piling one thing on top of another—whatever it is, you’re looking for a change. And you deserve it! You are worthy of peace, love, and healing just as you are! I would love to help you figure out your goals and how we can work together to meet them.

You look like you have it all together, but inside you're exhausted from overthinking, anxiety, ADHD, perfectionism, or always putting others first. If you grew up with emotionally immature caregivers, you may understand your patterns but still feel stuck repeating them. Together, we'll heal the deeper wounds beneath those patterns, regulate your nervous system, strengthen self-trust, and help you build healthier relationships and a life that finally feels like your own.

You want to appear successful, but deep down you're burned out, triggered by old wounds, or caught in the loop of an inner critic that says you're still not enough. You're driven and creative, yet you're struggling to say no, showing up for everyone but yourself, and feeling disconnected from who you really are. You're ready to feel lighter and more like yourself. You're ready to be free from the weight of what's been holding you back. Most of all, you've been surviving, and you're ready to thrive. I want to help you get there.

If you feel overwhelmed, on edge, or stuck in patterns you can’t quite explain, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to carry it by yourself. I offer a calm, supportive space where you can slow down and safely begin working through what you’ve been holding. Using body-based, trauma-focused approaches, we’ll gently process what words can’t always reach so you can feel more grounded, clear, and like yourself again.

Life can be unpredictable and challenging, and sometimes we just need someone to walk alongside us—a steady, compassionate presence who helps us process our thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. I’m here to offer that space. I specialize in working with women and adolescents (ages 12+), particularly those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity issues, and life transitions. As a mother, and someone who has extensive experience with mental health challenges, I understand how important it is to feel seen, heard, and safe—especially in a world that often overlooks and misunderstands us.

Women's Issues Therapists
How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.

How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
