I get amazed by the power of slowing down and just being. Just to sit with - and hold space for - another is an honor. I went to college with an aim to serve helping-professionals and key leaders in resolving factors of burnout. I envisioned taking clergy sailing for a rhythm of work -by-day then slow-by-night to aid authentic connection. Today, I love discovering each couple's or individual' story. I use emotional-mentoring to honor their attachment and process. I journey, as a teen-parent, alongside dads and teens. I do serve Veterans, and other high-performing leaders, to connect within and with those who truly matter most.

You’ve always been the one who keeps the peace—picking up the pieces, staying quiet, trying not to upset anyone. But lately, you’re feeling overwhelmed, resentful, or unsure of who you are outside of others' expectations. You know something needs to shift.

Many people quietly carry anxiety, trauma, depression, or relationship pain for years while appearing “fine” on the outside. Whether you are struggling with conflict in your family, communication difficulties with a partner, emotional burnout, or a persistent sense of dissatisfaction, you do not have to navigate it alone. I work with individuals to better understand the experiences and patterns that may be keeping them stuck.

My approach draws primarily from Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT)—methods that emphasize awareness, acceptance, and values-driven action.
I work primarily with men who are managing anxiety, work-related stress, or transitions in relationships, identity, or purpose. Many of my clients are high-achieving professionals who struggle privately with worry, self-criticism, or emotional exhaustion. Others are men learning to express themselves more fully and connect more deeply with others.

I use evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and ERP.
Are you the one everyone counts on? Maybe you’re the eldest daughter, overachiever, or the one carrying your family’s expectations. You look like you have it all together, but inside you’re tired of overthinking, people-pleasing, and never feeling “enough.” You may feel stuck in anxious thoughts, intrusive thoughts, or OCD patterns that make it hard to feel calm or present. Perfectionism has helped you get far, but it’s also kept you in survival mode. You want to breathe, set boundaries, and enjoy your life, but slowing down feels hard when you’re used to carrying so much. That’s where I come in.

We can all struggle with forgetting our value, that our life and story have meaning and purpose. Whether it be your current life circumstances, broken relationships, or shame that has been weighing you down for far too long, you may have forgotten your own value. It is scary to feel hopeless, to question yourself, make sense of your story and relationships, and wonder "what's next for me?" It is daunting to release control over the unknown in whatever season you may be in. You don't have to face it all alone. I would love to journey with you.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
