I'm about love, self-compassion, radical acceptance, embracing failure, trusting your innate wisdom and starting over. I fundamentally believe in every person's ability to recover from trauma, addiction and life, in general. Experience has taught me that no one is really avoiding anything. When people accuse you of not dealing with something, what they are really saying is you aren't dealing with it the way they want you to. From my perspective, if you wake up every morning and breathe in and out all day long, you're dealing with your stuff. A tiny bit of intention is all it takes to begin healing.

Have you been going to therapy for years, yet find yourself still struggling? Perhaps you're highly emotional, angry, anxious, depressed, avoiding, have distressing habits, or you feel hopeless like life isn't worth living. These behaviors are common with individuals who have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, or who have had highly stressful or difficulties with family of origin, all of which can compromise your sense of self, safety, and your ability to maintain healthy relationships with those you love the most. Know that you are not alone, and that I can help.

Whether you need Bipolar management or narcissistic abuse recovery, we regulate your system.
Welcome! You’re here because you or your partner is hurting. Whether you’re dealing with "Big T" traumas like abuse or "little t" traumas like feeling repeatedly rejected, a part of us gets stuck when the "no-good-dirty-rotten-thing" happens. But you don’t have to stay there. I help you escape the grip of trauma, depression, and complex challenges like Bipolar disorder or navigating narcissism. We hold pain in our bodies as tension—a physical echo of a nervous system that doesn’t feel safe. It no longer has to dictate how you love, parent, or work. I am here to help you move forward into the life you deserve.

Please reach out to ask about treatment of personality disorders.
I am not for everyone, and that is okay. I show up in session as my quirky self, I am not a fan of toxic positivity, and my initial goal is simply to build a therapeutic rapport with each client. Safe relationships are key to healing trauma, and that is where I shine. My clients usually have significant trauma, have PTSD or C-PTSD, have experienced or are experiencing intimate partner violence, or have a personality disorder. I love helping people who want to work on negative core beliefs with building positive views of self in a way that feels authentic and not over the top.

You look like you’re holding it together — but inside, you’re exhausted. Maybe anxiety is constantly running in the background. Maybe past trauma still shows up in your body, even when you try to “move on.” Maybe your teen is struggling with shame, social anxiety, or confidence — and you don’t know how to help. You don’t have to keep pushing through alone. I specialize in EMDR therapy for anxiety, trauma, and high-functioning individuals who appear strong on the outside but feel overwhelmed internally. My clients are often intelligent, driven, and capable — yet privately battling self-doubt, intrusive memories, or stress.

Personality Disorders Therapists
What are the common treatment options for personality disorders?
Personality disorders are typically treated with psychotherapy, sometimes in conjunction with medication. Therapy can help people with personality disorders develop skills to tolerate difficult emotions, navigate interpersonal relationships, and solidify their sense of self. Medications can treat symptoms that co-occur with the disorder, such as depression, anger, aggression, and impulsivity.

When to seek treatment for personality disorders?
Even though treatment for personality disorders can be an uphill battle, it’s best to seek help if you suspect that you or a loved one is struggling with one, because personality disorders can create substantial problems in life. Symptoms depend on the specific disorder, but overall signs of personality disorders include consistent difficulty maintaining close relationships, dramatic variations in self-esteem, and an unstable sense of identity.

How long does therapy take for personality disorders?
The timeline for treating personality disorders isn’t as clear-cut as it is for other disorders. Change can be difficult, taking from around one year to five, 10, or more. The key is finding a therapist who has extensive experience treating the relevant disorder. For example, a psychologist who specializes in narcissistic personality disorder has specific communication strategies that allow them to sustain the relationship and be more effective with narcissistic patients.

Can therapy help people with personality disorders?
Research suggests that for those who are motivated to address concerns or interpersonal conflict related to a personality disorder, therapy is far more effective than no treatment, and that most people in therapy see improvements. However, since personality disorders involve entrenched elements of identity, they are less responsive to treatment than are other mental health conditions. Finding an expert who has extensive experience working with a given personality disorder is one factor that increases the likelihood of successful treatment.
