These challenges can include differences in brain functioning, difficult childhood experiences, stress, ongoing health problems, self-confidence issues, communication difficulties, and PTSD.
Since I was very young, I always felt different from my friends. I grew up trying to make everyone happy. Like many of my clients, I've dealt with anxious feelings and differences in how my brain works. I've learned how to set healthy limits for myself and take good care of my well-being. Your journey isn’t about getting rid of all your bad memories, but about learning how to calm your nervous system so you can handle life's ups and downs, see your own value, and become the best version of yourself. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed and stuck, and I’ve experienced those feelings easing over time.

My favorite discussions involve Trauma Recovery, Redefining Love and Marriage (open marriages welcome!), and Exploring Personal Interests and Passions (kink-friendly space!).
I specialize in assisting clients to drop their guard and uncover the root of what drives self-protection behaviors. When stress is high, symptoms linked to ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression become bothersome and distracting, at times shutting us down altogether. Are you tired of living in chronic Fight, Flight, or Freeze states? Therapy may help!

I worked as a teacher for 10 yrs and school counselor for 5 yrs and specialize in teen as well as adults battling anxiety, stress, depression, people pleasing, co-dependency, boundaries, trauma, and life changes.
Do you battle anxiety and stress in the form of racing thoughts that don't seem to go away? Or full blown panic attacks that seem to knock the breathe out of you and keep you immobilized? I've been there. I truly believe every experience in life can help mold you and shift you for better. Through every hardship you encounter, you can pull through and gain more on the other end. Life begins to change the most when you stop asking “Why does this keep happening to me?” and start asking yourself “What am I meant to learn from this?” and “How can I grow from this?” I believe I can help you overcome anxiety and moving forward.

Do you feel as though therapy is a taboo subject or that family secrets should be kept within the family? Does your spouse struggle with the idea that therapy means your relationship is failing? I am passionate about breaking the negative distortions that couples and families often carry regarding therapy. I intend to provide you with a confidential and safe talking space for couples and families to work out your feelings and address underlying problems that may cause conflict. The best part about therapy is that not a single other person in your social circle must know that you are seeking therapy unless you decide to tell them.

Many of my clients carry grief — for the version of themselves they once were, for the relationships that haven’t worked, or for the life they imagined before illness or trauma interrupted it.
You’re used to holding it all together. Whether you’re navigating chronic illness, recovering from burnout, or simply trying to be everything for everyone — you're exhausted, and you deserve a space to be supported instead of performing. My clients are often high-functioning, insightful, and deeply compassionate — but struggling with perfectionism, people-pleasing, and a harsh inner critic.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
