My primary specialty is working with couples and families, but I have a variety of experience in the counseling field working with teens suffering from self-esteem issues, women's issues , child-parenting issues, spiritual growth, and military family issues. We repeat what we don’t repair and what we don't repair can leave us feeling stuck. I am a compassionate, brain-geek, trauma therapist who helps support all parts of you to feel heard and understood. The human experience is not meant to be joyful all the time. We are meant to experience pain. However, certain parts of us might protect us from being able to respond to situations the way we would like to respond to them. Going through difficult experiences can leave those protector parts of us on high alert. Therapy can help those parts of you to feel safe again.

*Does not take insurance* The main population I see is women and college students, with a few exceptions interspersed along the way (I’m looking at you, guys! I do work with men as well). I see 18+ only. I primarily work with college students who are working through all the things you would expect to work through in your late teens and early twenties! Anxiety, life transitions, depression, processing childhood trauma, processing your family and how it impacts you, relationship issues among partners and friends- the list goes on!

Whether you are working through the loss of a loved one, a major shift in your life, learning to live with a medical diagnosis, experiencing depressed mood, anxiety, or need guidance with making healthier choices to improve your sense of self, I can walk this path with you and help you reach your healthy mental and emotional goals. I have over ten years experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked in the school, private, juvenile, and hospital settings using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and have incorporated Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy since 2020.

It’s hard to be vulnerable. Especially with someone you don’t know. I work hard to establish a therapeutic relationship built on trust. I provide a holistic approach exploring all parts of a person’s past and current circumstances so that the process can help in giving insight for healing and growth.

With children and teens my approach is relaxed and non-threatening. I often use play therapy techniques such as: games, art activities, and sand tray. With older teens, adults and families, I strive to create an atmosphere of teamwork that allows clients to educate me about their lives and they changes they want.
