I believe that all change begins with the determination to make something different in ones life. Feelings often control the choices we make and cause reaction instead of response to situations. Counseling is an opportunity to do self discovery and look at what needs are to be met. I really enjoy helping others to find behaviors that meet their goals and consider responsibility for what they can change. I am a Christian and will guide others with spiritual guidance if preferred.

I specialize in providing therapy for individuals who are living with ADHD and Borderline Personality Disorder. I am also well-versed in treating PTSD/CPTSD, which often go hand in hand with ADHD and BPD. If a therapist has fired you, or you have felt therapy did not work for you, give me a try. I build relationships with my clients, so we can create the optimal environment to explore the shadows. I am not afraid to go to dark places with you and help bring in the light.

I see clients in person in Mansfield and via telehealth throughout Texas.
You look like you have it together. Good job, good life, people who depend on you. But inside you are exhausted, your closest relationships feel like work, and there is a version of yourself you have slowly lost touch with. You are not broken. You are a woman in the middle of a season that is asking more than it is giving, and you are ready for something to actually change.

I offer in person and virtual counseling in Texas and Florida (virtual only).
Life is tough. There is no way around it. Everyone has issues that they can't deal with alone and every situation is unique to you. Your relationship could be insecure with your spouse, parent, child. You could be suffering from an explosive event in your life and be struggling with PTSD. You lost a loved one three years ago and still cannot seem to get past their absence. You are feeling a lack of control and your boundaries are consistently crossed. I know life is tough, but it can be better.

I see some clients virtually, some in person.
Perhaps you find yourself burdened by the past, no matter your successes or efforts in your life today. You may be worn out by overwhelming emotions, ongoing self-doubt, emerging addictions, and diminishing relationships. You may not even remember a time when you didn’t feel like this. But one thing's for sure... you’re ready for some relief. You’re ready to heal from the past and feel good about who you are. You’re ready to start experiencing emotions in a healthy way as you release trauma and addictions. Most of all, you’re ready to move on from a place of just surviving, day to day, to one of fully embracing the life you want.

I offer therapy sessions in person and virtually.
Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted can make everyday life feel heavier than it should. You may be carrying anxiety, trauma, stress, or self-doubt while trying to meet expectations at work, school, or in relationships. Perhaps you feel disconnected from yourself or others, or unsure how to move forward. Therapy can be a space to slow down, feel supported, and begin making sense of your experiences—without pressure to have it all figured out or to “fix” everything at once.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
