The people I work best with are those holding a lot together for others. Parents navigating burnout, families reshaping after divorce or adoption, and individuals quietly struggling with addiction, food, or identity. Many arrive feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin. Together, we slow things down, untangle what’s heavy, and build practical, compassionate strategies. My approach blends insight with action so you can feel more steady, clear, and capable of moving forward.

You look like you have it together. Good job, good life, people who depend on you. But inside you are exhausted, your closest relationships feel like work, and there is a version of yourself you have slowly lost touch with. You are not broken. You are a woman in the middle of a season that is asking more than it is giving, and you are ready for something to actually change.

You may be feeling overwhelmed by persistent sadness, anxiety, or the weight of grief after a breakup, divorce, or the loss of a loved one. Maybe you find yourself constantly replaying past mistakes, struggling with self-worth and wondering if you'll ever feel "good enough.” My ideal client is someone who feels stuck, emotionally drained, unsure of how to move forward, but who also holds onto a quiet hope that change is possible. What you want most is to feel better and to find peace in your life again. You long for clarity, confidence, and a sense of purpose. And most importantly, you want to feel like you again.

Are you “going through the motions”? Are past experiences on replay? Are you feeling less confident/increasingly anxious? Do you struggle to connect with a sense of self and/or purpose? Life’s stressors and changes can oftentimes cause emotional disruption, leading to increased sadness, anxiety, and a loss of identity. When this occurs it is important to engage in a therapeutic process geared toward increasing your confidence in yourself, your direction, and your values. Increased clarity, a sense of purpose, and self confidence will enable you to feel better about how you show up to interactions and experiences, and for yourself.

Does your worry feel never ending or does it feel like you’ve had to readjust your whole life? Getting stuck in an anxious loop can make you feel lost, isolated, and embarrassed. I am a therapist who specializes in working with OCD, anxiety, and trauma. Living with these symptoms as the individual or being the caregiver to someone who is struggling can be scary, confusing and frustrating. It's common anxiety and fears start small and eventually grow over time to become all consuming, making you wonder what happened and how did you get to this place. By working together, you can get back to living the life you want to live.

Perhaps you find yourself burdened by the past, no matter your successes or efforts in your life today. You may be worn out by overwhelming emotions, ongoing self-doubt, emerging addictions, and diminishing relationships. You may not even remember a time when you didn’t feel like this. But one thing's for sure... you’re ready for some relief. You’re ready to heal from the past and feel good about who you are. You’re ready to start experiencing emotions in a healthy way as you release trauma and addictions. Most of all, you’re ready to move on from a place of just surviving, day to day, to one of fully embracing the life you want.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.
What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.
Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.
How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
