I am a Marriage and Family Therapist specialized to work with
couples

partner
which has led you to feel distant from each other. Maybe you disagree on how to raise the children, or what traditions and routines should look like in your family. These differences may also show up in your
relationship
with extended family. You are tired of discussing these topics and always ending in an argument with your
partner
. You want to feel closer to your
partner
, but you feel stuck and do not know how to make things better.

I have treated a variety of individuals,
couples
, and families with pressing issues such as depression, anxiety, communication, grief, suicidal thoughts, high stress, trauma, and many other concerns.
Paralyzed, drowning, devastated, broken, stuck. I have heard many of these descriptions in initial appointments with clients. I am then humbled and amazed as these words evolve to relieved, empowered, valued, strong, and resilient as we work together in treatment. I am a marriage and family therapist offering teletherapy and in-person therapy services to my fellow Texans. In treatment, I focus on working with you to develop and maximize your distinct strengths to overcome the concerns you are presently encountering. I use research backed approaches that are uniquely tailored to you.

Accepting new clients! The therapeutic process is a healing process. Healing takes place both internally and within the context of
relationship
. We constantly shift and change day to day, week to week, year to year. Changes can be going from sleeping to waking, from changing our routines, or outdated patterning. Changes can come in the form of a new baby, a new marriage, a new job; and they can also be divorce, death, health issues, or a sudden move. Inherent in every change is a level of questioning, worry, and concern either internal or external. I do believe change is a wonderfully empowering catalyst to growth and healing.

Current daytime and evening appointments available! I feel that people often find themselves struggling when the coping mechanisms initially developed out of necessity begin to create harmful patterns of behavior, both internally and externally. As your therapist, I will create a working

relationship
developed in therapy is one that has the power to set the foundation for healing and change.
Do you feel like you are wearing a mask, smiling on the outside while trying to cope with overwhelming sadness, fear, regret, or loneliness on the inside? Have you experienced a difficult life transition, crisis, or traumatic event that has lead to you feeling overwhelmed or stuck? Does it seem like you are sinking in quicksand under the weight of life? Do you feel like others will not understand what you are going through? You are not alone. I would love to help you more deeply understand your emotions and experiences while developing ways to cope with your current struggles.

I have extensive training working with individuals,
couples
, and families (both in person and virtually) to find healing and solutions through their situations using a variety of approaches.
You deserve a life that’s worth living even during the strife and struggle so that begs the question, how might I be of help to you? You deserve to have support and someone to walk through life challenges with and I would love to be that person for you! Therapy should be, and is, a space where together we can curate the change that you want to see in your own life. Even if you are unsure of what that solution looks like, I believe we can find it together. I know that calling a therapist can be intimidating but I hope you will take just a moment to call and see how I can help you.

Relationships affect every aspect of our lives whether it be marital or
partner
-related, interpersonal, familial, or parental. When we have conflict with those that we care about it can bring about a feeling of helplessness or frustration, it becomes tiring on the soul. If the goal of the individual is to improve their interactions with the people they love, it is important that they first understand their
relationship
with themselves. Therapy is an incredible tool for self-discovery and improvement.

I am confident that regardless of why you are looking for a therapist, I can help you find solutions.

60% of why you get better in therapy is the therapeutic
relationship
and the other 40% are techniques to reprogram how you have been operating until now.
Hi, I'm Adam Pearson, I have a Master's in Clinical Psychology and was trained by a Psychiatrist for 2 years. I use a variety of techniques and tools. Therapy is typically 8-16 weeks, around 8 weeks your symptoms should be going from Severe to Moderate, and 16-18 weeks moderate to mild. I practice from a faith based perspective but all are welcome. You can text, call or email and I usually can see a new patient within 48-72 hours. I had PTSD, Depression, OCD and am now free. Now it's your turn! This is where you learn to love and like yourself, maybe for the first time. I have helped 1000s. This is your flying lesson!

Couples Counseling Therapists
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.
When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.
How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.
How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
