When creating Phoenix Arise, she envisioned a counseling office that would be focused on treating clients through a trauma informed lens. Phoenix Arise has 16 therapists who offer counseling to a wide range of populations with various modalities such as EMDR, DBT, solution focused therapy, talk therapy, and more. What makes our counselors unique is the underlying focus and emphasis on trauma recovery.

I see couples, individuals, and families and specialize in couple's communication, conflict, and families living with addiction/codependency. Additionally, I work with individuals living with symptoms of unhappiness, worry, and grief. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor- Supervisor with 25 years of experience in the counseling field. I received my bachelors and masters degree from Texas Tech University, and I have worked in treatment centers for addiction and sober living settings. I have worked with people with a number of co-occurring disorders such as Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Depressive Disorder- not to mention Grief issues and Trauma issues. So, I feel confident in helping people of all ages and from all walks of life treat their mental health disorders.

I also have over 15 years working in the field specializing in substance use disorders and eating disorders.

Every new day is a new chance to change. Life comes with many stages and changes like getting married or divorced, having children, going to college, starting a new job or losing someone close. Whether you are prepared or not these things often create so many emotions, thoughts, and decisions it gets overwhelming. Sometimes you just need someone to listen and help guide you through it. As a systemically trained therapist, I believe it’s the experiences we have had throughout our life with family, friends, partners, colleagues, etc. that shape who we are and influence how we handle what’s going on in our world.
