I help people cope with anxiety, depression, trauma, LGBTQ+ experiences, neurodivergence, family and immigration stress, and other delightful things that life brings.
When life feels unsteady, having a place to process and reconnect can make a meaningful difference. I work with people who are adjusting to difficult life changes, looking for better coping strategies, processing stressful events, and improving their relationships with self and others. I make an effort to have authentic connections with my clients. Whether fully online, hybrid, or in-person, connection is the most key part of the therapy journey.

Some of the issues I can help you with are trauma, parenting, stress, and depression.
I believe that counseling is first and foremost a relationship. As any good relationship is based on trust, so effective counseling is also based on trust. Trust develops when people feel accepted and supported no matter what their circumstances, and when they know the other has their best interests at heart. Honest communication is essential to the therapeutic relationship. For clients this means not withholding information that is difficult to discuss. For the counselor, this means giving honest feedback.

Another day underway... Went to bed exhausted, woke up the same way. Spent an hour last night staring at the ceiling…drift off and bam, time to wake up. Living the dream...not. More like another frickin' long day...spent 20 minutes (you didn't have) searching for your keys. Driving to work, everyone's out to piss you off with their driving. Cut off twice, honked at, and the person tapping their brakes 100 times pushed you over the edge. 15-hour work shifts draining what little energy you have. Mind's all over the place. Overwhelmed and stuck. On your 4th argument of the week with your partner, it’s only Wednesday.

I treat eating disorders and other related issues (eg., mood disorders, anxiety, trauma).
Often the issues that bring a person to my practice are depression, anxiety, or traumatic events. Some struggle with eating disorders or other behaviors that control their lives. When in the midst of these issues, a person often feels helpless to change course. Reaching out for help from a trained professional is a courageous first step, a step that can change the course of your life. If you are the type of person that desires to take that first step and is willing to change what is not working for you, we will likely work well together.

I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Now accepting LPC-Associates for supervision I work with children, adolescents, and adults who may be experiencing things that are difficult to cope with. My goal is to help people identify and talk about their feelings, work through problems, and learn new ways to cope. I often use various techniques, and I try to match my style of therapy to my client’s personality. Therapy is not always easy, so it is my goal to form a trusting relationship with my client by building on their interests and skills during our sessions.

I work with people dealing with trauma, anxiety and mood issues, relationship dynamics, and identity questions—especially during those times when life feels confusing or unsteady.
Hi, I’m Marena, a clinical psychologist who’s here to walk alongside you as you make sense of what’s going on in your life. Therapy with me isn’t about lying on a couch while I silently nod—it’s more like having a thoughtful, real conversation where you don’t have to filter yourself. We’ll get into what’s been weighing you down and start making space for things to feel different.

I have worked with many clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and PTSD in my ten years as a certified yoga therapist.
I believe in the inherent wholeness of the individual and the capacity of the human being to meet, learn, and grow from life's experiences. I view depression and anxiety as messengers asking us to turn toward our grief, tend our pain, and realign ourselves with our heart's true desires. These things can be difficult to do alone. The purpose of the therapeutic relationship is to provide a safe container for healing and exploration. My desire is to support every client in finding innate resilience and felt ease, whatever their current circumstances.
