Trauma and PTSD Therapists in Lubbock County, TX
Most young adults I meet aren’t falling apart, they’re just tired of pretending they have it all figured out. Maybe things look fine on paper, but inside there’s anxiety, confusion about identity or faith, relationship stress, or a general “what am I doing with my life?” feeling. I help people untangle that mess in a calm, judgment-free space so they can make sense of who they are and where they’re heading, without needing to meet anyone’s script for them.

I offer therapy as a way of straightening out your life. I want to help you in developing and defining your goals in life and collaborate with you on ways to achieve these goals. My aim is to go through the difficulties of life with you and help you in understanding who you are and developing meaning and purpose around that.

There are seasons in life that require extra work to get through in a healthy way. My goal is to assist you in these times, respecting the fact that God has placed you in charge of your own life. My goal is to make sure that counseling does not linger on. Instead, counseling should last only as long as you need.

Life stressors, trauma, negative thoughts, and relationship stress can make life feel overwhelming.
I offer a supportive, judgment-free place where you can talk through what’s been weighing on you—past, present, or what’s ahead. My approach is practical and client-centered, drawing from talk therapy, EMDR, and ERP. I also integrate CBT and DBT skills to help you build tools you can actually use in daily life.

I hold certifications in Trauma-Focused CBT, Trauma Informed Care, and Relational Coaching.
Counseling should be safe and helpful in practical ways. It should be as brief as possible to meet a person's current need, while at the same time of sufficient duration to provide stabilization. I believe it should provide real-world help for navigating the challenging transitions of life that can interfere with progress toward our desired objectives and design potential. I believe it is critical to cultivate the capacity to live fully and mindfully in the here-and-now to chart a path to a satisfying future.

The therapeutic process is a healing process. Healing takes place both internally and within the context of relationship. We constantly shift and change day to day, week to week, year to year. Changes can be going from sleeping to waking, from changing our routines, or outdated patterning. Changes can come in the form of a new baby, a new marriage, a new job; and they can also be divorce, death, health issues, or a sudden move. Inherent in every change is a level of questioning, worry, and concern either internal or external. I do believe change is a wonderfully empowering catalyst to growth and healing.

Hello and welcome! I’m originally from New Mexico, where I quickly recognized the growing need for mental health providers. After living in Texas for over 8 years, I’m proud to call this beautiful state home and look forward to supporting the community here. I love this state, its people, and culture. I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology, with a minor in history, and continued my journey at Texas Tech University, where I completed my master’s in Couples, Marriage, and Family Therapy (CMFT) as well as my PhD in the same discipline.

Using play-based techniques for ages 3-12—and insight-oriented exploration with practical tools for older clients—I help clients navigate challenges with anxiety, depression, identity development, and trauma.
Do you feel stuck in anxiety, self-doubt, or emotional patterns that seem bigger than the present moment? Or is your child struggling with intense reactions, shutdowns, or behaviors that don’t fully make sense? Often, early experiences and relational wounds shape how we cope long after the moment has passed. When big feelings start affecting our daily life and relationships, it can feel exhausting and isolating. Whether I’m working with a child, a teen, or a young adult, my goal is the same: to create a safe, supportive space where big feelings are welcomed. Together we work toward deeper healing, not just temporary relief.

I believe in meeting people where they are and creating a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore life’s challenges—whether it’s anxiety, grief, trauma, or just feeling stuck.
I’m not here to “fix” you—because you’re not broken. I believe therapy is less about diagnoses and more about being seen, heard, and supported just as you are. My approach is laid-back, quirky, and deeply human. You’ll find no judgment here, only a safe space to breathe, explore, and begin again.
