I work with thoughtful, high-functioning people who have done a lot of inner work but still feel chronically tense, tired, or stuck. Many of my clients understand their patterns well, yet notice that insight hasn’t fully translated into embodied change. Often, their nervous system is over-driven — constantly pushing, fixing, or trying to get somewhere else.

I lived the full arc of athletic identity: the drive, the discipline, and the way sports become the answer to every question about who you are.
You're a competitor in every room — at work, on the field, at home — and it's starting to cost you. You love the people around you and lately you can't stand being around them. You're showing up for everyone else, and nobody's asking how you're doing. You don't want to punch a wall or cry every day, but here you are. You want to be present with your kids, but your mind is somewhere else entirely. You've handled tougher things than this. So why does this feel impossible? You want the life you know you deserve — and you're starting to wonder if it's still possible. You showed up here. That took something. Let's figure out the rest to

My goal is to partner with you in discovering your own, unique, ability to heal. I believe that hope, wholeness, and peace are all possible, but that sometimes we need assistance in finding them. Coping with the reality of our story can be difficult when it is not as we originally wished it to be. Together we can make meaning of your story and find the strength that lies within it. My approach to therapy is to assist you in doing the difficult work of uncovering your true, fully-alive self, amidst this present pain.

I meet with individuals using a variety of approaches. Work with clients is determined by the problem brought to the session, beginning where you find yourself-cognitively, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I generally work with a client's life story, to look for origins of beliefs and problems, and to find ways to reframe the story so that it is not so limiting. I am experienced in the areas of trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, stress, anger management, conflict resolution, addiction, career counseling and various other issues.

Life can be a challenge. Visiting with me is not going to change your circumstances, but I believe I can help you change the way you experience them. I have often been told that I am a warm, compassionate and nonjudgmental guide that will walk with you through dark times and will cheer you along as you reach new levels of freedom and hope. I do not view myself as an expert that can solve your problems, but rather as one who can sit with you while you wrestle with your deepest fears, hurts and pain and find the answers for yourself.

Taking that first step is the most difficult part of the healing process. It takes courage to seek out help. My goal is to normalize that it is ok to struggle and asking for help is not a sign of defeat, but of bravery to try something new and look at your problems from a different angle. In therapy I help with perspective taking and building skills in order to address trauma, negative thinking, processing diagnosis, and much more. I encourage you to take the dive. It will be worth it. In addition to therapy I also offer testing and evaluation for diagnosis. Please call for more details.

I am passionate about helping people through life’s challenges! I have experience and success in helping teenagers with anxiety, depression, self harm as well as the daily drama they face whether at school or in the home. I also work with young adults battling life's stressful times whether it be starting college, choosing a career, or navigating relationships. Hey y’all! I’m glad you’re here. If parenting feels harder than it should… or your child is struggling and you’re not sure what to do next… you’re in the right place. I work with kids, teens, and parents to understand what’s really going on beneath behavior, especially when big emotions, anxiety, or disconnection take over. I’m a bit of a neurobiology nerd, so we’ll look at how the brain and nervous system are driving the patterns you’re seeing. When that starts to make sense, things begin to shift in a way that actually lasts.

Maybe you're a student, athlete, or professional who’s used to pushing through, but lately, it’s catching up to you. You want clarity, emotional balance, and a deeper sense of self — not just better performance, but better peace.

Sports Performance Therapists
How does sports psychology work?
Sports psychology helps athletes identify and overcome challenges, such as perfectionism or a fear of failure, and improve key mental skills, such as confidence or concentration. By applying principles and techniques from psychology, such as goal-setting, visualization, positive self-talk, and emotion regulation, sports psychologists help athletes improve their performance on the field and their well-being overall.

How long does treatment for a sports-related problem take?
The duration of sports psychology treatment depends on the athlete’s individual challenges, goals, the complexity of the interventions used, and even on the length of the season. A performance anxiety issue may be treated with a short-term treatment, like Cognitive behavioural therapy, while issues such as depression, substance abuse, or severe anxiety may require longer-term treatments.

How effective is treatment for sports performance problems?
Sports psychology has been shown to improve performance and help athletes manage their emotions. Sports psychology can be effective in boosting performance, team dynamics, and injury rehabilitation. Over the past decade, nearly every professional sports team in every major sport has added a sports psychologist to its staff. Many colleges have done the same, and even some high school programs have done the same. Olympic hopefuls may consult with sports psychologists starting in elementary school.

What are the limitations of sports psychology?
Sports psychology may have several limitations. Every athlete is unique and may respond differently to sports psychology treatments. Therapy can help an athlete reach their potential; it can help athletes cope with injury and pain, but it cannot change the physical limitations that may be affecting an athlete’s performance.
