I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space for individuals 17+ who are navigating: trauma and complex PTSD, addiction & recovery, domestic violence & relational abuse, Anxiety, OCD, ADHD, Bipolar and personality disorders. I am LGBTQIA+ friendly.

I see you. You are not alone… You’re watching your child or adolescent struggle—and you’re not sure how to help anymore. Maybe they’re anxious, shutting down, angry, or hurting themselves. Maybe your family is navigating divorce, and emotions feel out of control. You’ve tried talking, setting boundaries, being patient—but nothing seems to work. You want to understand what’s going on beneath the behavior, and how to reconnect before things get worse. You’re ready for guidance that makes sense, tools that actually help, and a therapist who truly gets kids, teens, and parents.

Life’s circumstances, experiences, and traumas can easily create burdens which feel insurmountable. The clients that I've helped have faced various challenges; expected and unexpected loss and grief, job loss, school and career shifts, incarceration, medical diagnoses, depression, eating disorders, overwhelming anxieties, escalating stress, personal transitions, and the need for healthier connections with others. Our bodies and minds are interconnected and at times one speaks louder or more clearly than the other emphasizing this disconnection. If this is the case, I offer a variety of techniques to reestablish connection.

There are times in life when it feels like we just can’t catch a break. Maybe it’s relationships that fall apart, maybe its constant crises, maybe it is prior traumas or experiences that come up in our daily lives. Chaos and emotional instability can make getting through the day feel impossible, but you do not have to go through it alone. Being overwhelmed and feeling broken doesn’t have to be your normal. My goal is to help clients learn what is keeping them from fully experiencing peace and then build the tools to stop living in constant fight or flight.

I believe in the strength and grit that brought you here—and I trust that the same inner resources that carried you here can help you build the life you truly want. I work with emerging adults and motivated seekers who’ve read the books, followed the advice, and tried to fix it all, yet still feel something is missing. You don’t need another voice telling you what to do—you need someone who can help you hear your own. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong.” It’s about uncovering what’s been hidden, reconnecting with your inner resources, and moving forward with clarity and confidence.

Hello and welcome! I’m Cat and I work with teens and adults who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, out of control, emotionally dysregulated and unfulfilled. I love working with people who have always felt different and have struggled to find meaning, purpose, and belonging in life. My philosophy as an existential therapist is that emotional distress can stem from a mismatch between the life we are currently living and the life we really want for ourselves. I believe the best place for healing is the place where you feel true alignment with your values, goals, identity, relationships, and desires. I want to help you get there.

Are you ready to feel better and make meaningful changes in your life? Many people reach a point where things feel heavy, confusing, or stuck—and seeking support is not weakness, but courage. Therapy is a collaborative process where you can safely explore thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may have gone unspoken for years. I emphasize creativity as a vital part of growth, helping you think flexibly, access new perspectives, and move beyond rigid patterns. I work with empathy, honesty, and respect, fostering a trusting relationship where insight and real change can emerge at a pace that feels right for you. I do PSP13/L3 evals.

Secular and Non-Religious Therapists
What is a secular and non religious approach in therapy?
Secular or non-religious therapy is a theoretical orientation used by many therapists and describes a therapeutic approach that does not rely on any specific religious or faith-based beliefs in the therapeutic process. Secular counselors will often approach therapy with an emphasis on evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients, instead of relying on religious practices, such as prayer or belief in God.

Is secular therapy primarily for non-religious people?
Both religious and non-religious individuals can benefit from secular therapy. People exploring their religious or spiritual beliefs may find it especially useful to work with a secular therapist who is unbiased toward any specific religion. While religious individuals might value the connection and familiarity of seeing a counselor who shares their beliefs, secular counseling can offer them the chance to develop coping skills independent of their religious practice, which can be beneficial in various aspects of their lives.

Can a secular approach to therapy help with religious trauma?
One major reason clients may seek a secular therapist is to process previous religious experiences, including religious trauma. Secular therapists can help clients manage symptoms of the trauma through practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). They can also encourage clients through talk therapy or psychodynamic approaches to explore the roots of their religious trauma. Since secular therapists do not have any predetermined religious beliefs, they can be particularly helpful for clients looking to explore their own religious beliefs following a history of religious trauma.

What does non religious marriage and premarital counseling involve?
Marriage and premarital counseling typically involves a couple meeting with a therapist to discuss topics such as planning for marriage, navigating a new marriage, addressing relationship challenges, and developing better communication and conflict resolution skills. Non-religious therapists assist couples in achieving these goals without adhering to specific religious beliefs or frameworks, often emphasizing inclusivity and non-judgment, especially for "nontraditional" couples. However, seeking couples therapy from a non-religious counselor does not mean religious topics are off-limits. In fact, non-religious couples from different religious backgrounds may benefit from a secular therapist who remains neutral toward the beliefs of each partner.
