Mindfulness-Based (MBCT) Therapists in Lubbock County, TX
Being a teen can be tough! There’s a lot going on emotionally, socially, mentally and physically, it feels like a lot. I provide a space where they can be themselves, judgement free. No matter if a child or teen is struggling with depression, anxiety, or is neurodivergent, I’m here to support them in a way that feels right for who they are. I specialize in working therapeutically with children and teens, and that focus allows me to better understand their world.
Another area I focus on is working with adults who are seeking autism evaluations, exploring whether they may be on the autism spectrum and looking for clarity.

I hold a BSW from UH-Downtown and an MSW from UH-GCSW, where I was a Trauma Fellow and GLOBE Youth Behavioral Health Fellow. I became a therapist because I love helping people and find joy in seeing change and growth in those who are struggling. I’ve aimed to bring a relaxed, supportive, and open approach to therapy. I believe healing happens best when therapy is guest-centered and guest-led—we’re a team, and I’m here to walk alongside you. I am LGPTQ+ally. I believe everyone deserves a change to change. I also am visually impaired.

Are relationship dynamics, family tension, or the patterns you keep repeating leaving you feeling stuck and disconnected from who you truly are? Whether the struggle is personal, between partners, or felt across the whole family, it rarely exists in isolation — and neither should the solution. You don't have to untangle it alone, and you don't have to choose between getting help as an individual or getting help together. In addition to individual therapy, I specialize in couples and family therapy, helping you gain deeper insight into your patterns and become more of who you truly are.

It can happen to anyone. Life is going along just fine, and then before you realize what happened, you find yourself in a tough situation you never expected. Coping with it has been far from easy, to say the least. You're not alone! If it's a traumatic event, if it's ongoing circumstances that impact your mood and overall functioning, perhaps I can help. I have specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, as well as Solutions-Focused Therapy. I use a holistic approach; considering the whole person in their environment.

With an empathetic approach and mindfulness, therapy helps you slow down, breathe, and begin untangling the thoughts you may have been avoiding.
Do you feel like you're carrying the weight of the world, but no one can see it? Do you feel unheard in your relationship? It can be hard to put emotions into words, especially when feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in patterns that seem impossible to break. The desire for peace is there, but knowing where to begin can feel daunting. Relationship conflict, whether with a partner, spouse, or loved one, can leave you feeling misunderstood, exhausted, and disconnected. Do the same arguments resurface? Does it sometimes feel like no matter how much you try, nothing changes?

Are emotional highs and lows leaving you drained, disconnected, or at odds with the people you care about most? Whether you're navigating mood swings, negative self-talk, disrupted sleep, or relationship strain, sometimes all it takes is one honest outside perspective to start making sense of it. You don't have to carry this alone — and you don't have to have it all figured out before you reach out.

This is a space where you can spill the tea without it getting brewed in another room—where you’re met with care, respect, and confidentiality.
I help people feel less alone in what they’re carrying. Therapy offers space to talk openly, gain understanding, and develop tools that support grounding and clarity. Sessions are shaped around what you need—whether that includes faith and Scripture, personal goals, coping skills, or simply a supportive place to talk.
You may feel overwhelmed, worn down, or alone—even as you keep showing up for work, family, or others. Stress, past experiences, or questions about meaning, purpose, or faith.

Starting therapy is a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel unsure or even a little overwhelmed. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin—just showing up is enough. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and respected from the very first conversation.
I work with teens, adults, and couples who may be navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, or feeling “stuck.” Whether you’re facing something specific or just know that something doesn’t feel quite right, we can work together to better understand what you’re experiencing and find meaningful ways to move forward.

I work with individuals and couples navigating relationship issues, attachment issues, grief, substance use, anxiety, and low self-esteem. With humility, humor, and compassion, my approach to therapy is direct and empowering. I work with clients to go below the surface into life's challenges to help my clients develop a better understanding of themselves and how they interact with others. I also understand the importance of military, first responders, and aviation professionals seeking therapists familiar with the mental health barriers due to their occupations and aim to provide a space of comfort and advocacy.

Are you struggling with life's challenges? Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? We all experience seasons in life where life gets too hard, and the burden seems too heavy to carry alone. More often than not, when we consider therapy as a treatment approach, we have tried everything we know to try on our own, and it's just not quite working or we need extra support. People who seek out counseling during these times are BRAVE enough to admit that it's okay to ask for help. Ultimately, my goal is to come alongside you in your healing journey and help you find ways to move from surviving to THRiVING!

I bring CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed tools, but the heart of the work will be our conversation.
The therapy relationship is the single biggest predictor of how therapy actually goes. More than method, more than credentials. That is why my first priority is being real with you, consistent, and transparent.
I work with teens and adults in Texas on anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship stuff, identity and self-esteem, bipolar disorder, and burnout. My practice is queer-empowering and feminist.

I am a white, genderqueer therapist who works with LGBTQIA+ adults and teens. I specialize in betrayal and grief work, relational conflict and separation, and sexual and gender identity exploration. I believe that therapy is inherently political and should include discussions about a client's racial, environmental, and cultural strengths and stressors. My approach is trauma-informed, consent-based, anti-racist, and social justice-oriented. Likewise, I am EMDR-trained, proficient in IFS techniques, and offer free consultations and letters for gender-affirming care.
