I specialize in working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma, family conflict, and life transitions. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of their next step. Together, we clarify their values, uncover strengths, and build coping strategies that support emotional regulation, self-worth, and meaningful relationships. My lived experiences also bring depth to my work. My ideal client is someone who is ready for change, even if they’re unsure where to begin. They may be carrying unspoken pain from childhood trauma, struggling with direction, or simply feeling stuck.

If gaining self-awareness, finding meaning and purpose in your life, or having someone fight your hardest battles with you is part of your therapeutic goals, we might be a good fit. If your ADHD, depressive, or anxiety symptoms seem to get in the way of your success in work or relationships, we can work together to regain control of your life.

My clients often feel weighed down by stress, disconnection, or old patterns that no longer serve them. They long for clarity, healthier relationships, and a deeper sense of self. Maybe you’re tired of feeling stuck, or you want to show up differently in your life and relationships. I provide a collaborative, compassionate space where we explore your story, honor your strengths, and work toward the change and connection you’re seeking. The courage to seek change is already a sign of your strength. Therapy is the space to honor that courage and step into your becoming.

Hello and welcome! I’m originally from New Mexico, where I quickly recognized the growing need for mental health providers. After living in Texas for over 8 years, I’m proud to call this beautiful state home and look forward to supporting the community here. I love this state, its people, and culture. I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology, with a minor in history, and continued my journey at Texas Tech University, where I completed my master’s in Couples, Marriage, and Family Therapy (CMFT) as well as my PhD in the same discipline.

I'm a gay, liberal, Hispanic, male veteran who is ready to help you figure out your situation.
You're in the chaos right now - relationship just ended, porn use spiraling, recovering from a narcissistic ex, or stuck in anxious-avoidant dating patterns. You need someone who gets it and can help you understand why you keep ending up here. I work with people ready to examine the hard stuff: attachment patterns, relationship choices, building real self-worth. I'm passionate about helping people date healthier (learned this the hard way myself). I see therapists needing their own space too. Specialties: sexuality, sex/porn addiction, narcissistic abuse recovery, LGBTQ+ issues, attachment/dating/poly, self-esteem. Ready? Lets talk

Hablo español & I love serving the Hispanic and immigrant communities.
Currently not accepting clients. "I belong everywhere I go, no matter where it is, or who I am with, as long as I never betray myself." -Brene Brown. We betray ourselves in a lot of ways, especially as women, as we try to please our loved ones. But self-betrayal is harmful, especially if it is a response to being betrayed by others. I am here to help you in your healing journey as you get to know and trust yourself so that you can make choices for yourself out of a sense of love and freedom- not fear or control. If you are anxious, stressed, or have been betrayed- know that trusting yourself may be the key to unlocking a full life.

Throughout life, there can be uncertainty when navigating change. Feelings of anxiousness, helplessness, or frustration can be present at any time. You do not have to manage those changes alone. My usual modes of therapy consist of Cognitive Behavioral and Emotion focused therapy.

Hispanic and Latino Therapists
What makes a Hispanic and Latino therapist effective?
An effective Hispanic and Latino therapist can combine a culturally sensitive lens with proven therapies, such as Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). They may have an understanding of cultural attitudes to therapy, including potential stigma, and can help a client navigate those concerns. Some clients may also appreciate a therapist who is bilingual and is comfortable conversing with the client in both English and Spanish. Languages spoken are indicated on a therapist’s directory profile.

Why is it important for a therapist to be culturally sensitive?
A culturally sensitive therapist is respectful and considerate of all groups, and may have specific expertise with individuals of a certain ethnicity. These considerations can help a client feel understood and can improve the therapeutic alliance. While some people think highlighting race and ethnicity could promote stereotypes and bias, most agree that knowledge about cultural differences enhances the alliance between therapist and client.

How can I recognize a therapist who has expertise working with Hispanic and Latino clients?
Successful therapy depends a great deal on the relationship between client and therapist. Start by asking the therapist about their overall approach to therapy. You may then wish to ask about the therapist’s educational background and any additional training in cultural sensitivity that they have undertaken.

How might I inquire about a therapist's experience with Hispanic and Latino clients?
Ask a potential therapist whether they've worked with individuals who share this background or whether they’ve worked in these communities. If so, you may wish to ask them to elaborate on ways that they feel especially prepared to work with Hispanic and Latino clients. If they have not worked with such clients, they may know someone who has and be able to make a referral.

Who is included in Psychology Today’s directory of Hispanic and Latino therapists?
The directory of Hispanic and Latino therapists includes providers who have identified their ethnicity in their profiles. Psychology Today uses this information to assist clients in finding a therapist who can provide a cultural match. However, not all therapists choose to disclose their ethnicity in their profiles, and they may not appear in search results for this reason. When the number of therapists near you who identify as Hispanic and Latino is limited, the directory will also show therapists with comprehensive experience working with clients from relevant backgrounds.
