Hi, I’m Whitney. I work with people navigating some of life’s most overwhelming seasons—NICU stays, complicated pregnancies, medical diagnoses for a child, caregiving burnout, or feeling like you’re losing yourself while holding everything together. I also work with young adults and college students who are trying to find their footing in the middle of anxiety, pressure, identity shifts, and big life transitions. My goal is to create a space where all of this can be held with care, honesty, and support.

Relationships shape so much of our well-being, and many people come to therapy longing for a deeper connection with themselves, their partners, their families, or the world around them, but aren’t sure where to start. My role is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and non-judgment, helping you make sense of what you’re carrying and move toward a more grounded, authentic version of yourself. I work with individuals, couples, teens, and families navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity concerns, and feeling “stuck.”

I am a trained EMDR & ERP therapist.
Do you struggle with low self esteem/negative self talk & want to gain more confidence? Do you feel you lost your true self in other roles & want to feel more whole again? Do you suffer from unwanted intrusive thoughts, obsessions or compulsions? Have you experienced trauma recently or from childhood? If you said yes to any of these, I’d love to visit with you - even if you have no idea where to start! I have a passion to help individuals discover how much they are worth & live their life to the fullest. Therapy isn't always an easy path, so give yourself credit for even thinking about asking for help and possibly reaching out.

I'm trained in EMDR and have experience using ERP therapy to support clients with OCD.
I’m a licensed clinical mental health counselor who believes therapy should feel safe, honest, and genuinely supportive—not clinical, stiff, or judgmental. I work with clients who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck carrying things they’ve had to manage on their own for a long time. Many of the people I work with have experienced anxiety, trauma, complicated family dynamics, relationship stress, or long-standing patterns rooted in earlier life experiences.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. Compassion, empathy, and logic are primary in my approach. I can use most therapy skills, but I prefer CBT. Most of my clients are dealing with life transitions, depression, anxiety, setting boundaries, trauma, grief, and life circumstances that are keeping them stuck.

On the outside, it may look like you have everything together—but internally, you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in cycles of overthinking. If intrusive thoughts, constant worry, or major life changes are taking a toll, you’re not alone. Therapy can help you slow down, gain clarity, and feel more in control. Many individuals are navigating periods of change—college, career shifts, or relationship stress—while managing internal pressure, perfectionism, or persistent worry. Together, we work to better understand these patterns and develop practical, effective tools to reduce anxiety and create lasting change.

I am trained in and have seen success with ERP.
Note: I am now licensed in both Texas and New Mexico! Congrats on taking your first step towards healing! I’m proud of you. I strive to make the therapy room feel like you’re having a cup of coffee with someone you feel safe with. I will walk with you through the valleys and cheer for you on the sidelines when you reach your mountain tops. You should feel empowered, advocated for, challenged, and hoisted up by your therapist; I hope to do that for you. As a client myself, I know it’s scary to get started. But we don’t change if nothing changes. Schedule a consultation with me to see if we are a good fit!

Are relationship dynamics, family tension, or the patterns you keep repeating leaving you feeling stuck and disconnected from who you truly are? Whether the struggle is personal, between partners, or felt across the whole family, it rarely exists in isolation — and neither should the solution. You don't have to untangle it alone, and you don't have to choose between getting help as an individual or getting help together. In addition to individual therapy, I specialize in couples and family therapy, helping you gain deeper insight into your patterns and become more of who you truly are.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapists
Do I need exposure and response prevention therapy?
Many clients decide to seek help for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors when these symptoms are distressing enough to disrupt everyday life. Any thoughts or behaviors that cause friction in close relationships are also worth addressing. In addition, the client’s symptoms don’t have to be severe for them to benefit from ERP therapy.

Is exposure and response prevention therapy part of cognitive behavioral therapy?
Exposure and response prevention is one specific type of CBT that focuses on behavioral change in response to triggering stimuli. It is related to exposure therapy but adds an additional component of preventing compulsive and harmful responses.

How long does exposure and response prevention therapy take?
While every patient is different, exposure and response prevention therapy typically lasts around 12 sessions, although some treatments can take longer. A therapist will determine if the treatment is complete based on how the client faces their fears, particularly the strongest ones. When a client feels less anxiety about stimuli that once evoked terror or distress, that is generally an indication that they are nearing the end of ERP therapy.

What are the limitations of exposure and response prevention therapy?
The most common pitfalls of exposure and response prevention therapy include not addressing a client’s core fears, allowing the client to avoid their most distressing stimuli, and using imaginary exposure when the client requires real-life exposure (and vice versa). ERP therapy is most effective when the client commits to the full course of treatment; if the client stops early or doesn’t practice what they have learned outside of therapy sessions, they are less likely to have successful outcomes.
