Everyone needs a listening ear & an unassuming person to talk to. Life is tricky. It’s joyful, happy, fast, hard, overwhelming, & hard to navigate. Life is manageable, & I have the knowledge & experience to help you navigate all the ups & downs of life by using several different methods tailored to you. I want to work with you, for you. Your time is valuable to me & I will respect it by being upfront & honest. I am a therapist that “keeps it real”, giving you my undivided attention when I’m with you. I am a wife, parent, sister, & friend who values all relationships. My faith & family give me life & keep me laughing out loud.

There are seasons in life that require a little extra work to get through in a healthy way. My goal is to assist you in these times, respecting the fact that God has placed you in charge of your own life. My goal is to make sure that counseling does not linger on. Instead, counseling should last only as long as you need.

I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families through life's challenges. Life can be tough at times. External stressors, inner turmoil, and relational problems can cause significant disturbances in our lives. As a therapist, I want to compassionately and honestly walk with you as we explore new ways to engage with your world.

I work to provide an environment where people can feel safe to explore their life story, discover where they want to go and who they want to be. I walk beside people as they discover the path for them to grow and overcome. I see mental health as embedded in our family, community, and the world as well as within our body as a whole. I enjoy incorporating people's faith in the counseling process when desired.

Loss is an all too real part of life. Whether experiencing loss due to death, divorce, a move, or even the reality that life is not what you thought it would be, loss can leave you feeling hopeless and alone. Coming from a place of faith and love, I strive to make authentic connections with those in pain. I am able to provide tools and a safe environment to manage the anxiety and depression that often arise. Ultimately, I work to build trust so that you feel safe to be heard and are not alone as you walk on your life journey.

Thank you for considering me as a part of your journey towards healing. I understand choosing a therapist is a deeply personal decision. Often times, unresolved mental health issues lead to isolation. You not alone. Individuals often experience unpleasant symptoms associated with trauma or stressful life events that often lead to mental disorders. Often times, depression, anxiety, and other trauma-related symptoms are often linked in some way to these adverse life events, generational trauma, or hereditary factors. I offer the expertise to help you connect with your inner and external strengths to become your best version of you.

Navigating the demands of life and relationships can be exhausting. There is nothing wrong with needing someone to lend an ear or show you compassion. I believe voicing your hidden struggles is often the first step to recovery. To facilitate this growth, I center genuine and empathetic connection that allows a comfortable space for healing and change.

Men and women are different, and guys have very specific counseling needs. A lot of men cringe at the thought of counseling, and understandably so. My goal is to show the guy who hates the idea of counseling how helpful it can be and that masculinity isn't inherently negative. Being a man is a good thing and being a good man is even better. My PhD research was on help-seeking behavior in men. I know that making that first phone call seems terrifying, but you owe it to yourself to give this a shot. You owe it to yourself to be well.

Life can be so overwhelming. You may have found yourself in a relationship where you cannot communicate effectively and the connection you once had is no longer there. The relationship you envisioned for yourself seems so out of reach. Maybe you are feeling anxious or depressed and don’t know if it will ever get better. You have a hard time managing your thoughts and feelings and wish you could take back control. This is not the life or relationship that you envisioned for yourself.

I am currently taking new clients for appointments. My clients say they can tell I genuinely care. My authentic, non-judgemental, easy-going personality allows for comfortable conversation. My life experience (married 25+ yrs. w/ 5 children) helps me relate to the everyday struggles of life. Unfortunately, there are seasons of life which are extremely difficult. During those challenging times talking to a professional counselor can make a world of difference. Call or email to book an appointment.
