Todd and his wife Adelita are active members of First Baptist Church in Mansfield, Texas. They have two children, Avery & Aleksandra. Both he and his wife enjoy both indoor and sand volleyball, tennis, being outdoors, and working on the house. They value both friends and family and enjoy the opportunity to spend time with them. And, of course, they enjoy spending very valuable time with their blessed children.

Hi there. I’m a Vietnamese-American trauma therapist and EMDR practitioner. I specialize in treating trauma and helping people flourish. My clients come from many different backgrounds, genders, and orientations. I work with people from 35 different cultural backgrounds, with a special interest in mixed-culture folks. I also specialize in helping people realize their full potential and personal best in relationships, careers, and spiritual growth. My typical client is strong-minded, motivated by learning and growth, and interested in removing all obstacles to the realization of their best self.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who graduated with an MA in Professional Counseling from Amberton University in 2013. Since that time, I have continued to study and develop my counseling skills. I have advanced training or certifications in trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, animal-assisted therapy (from UNT), foundational Theraplay Practitioner, post-adoption counseling, EMDR, Prepare and Enrich pre-marital counseling, and Gottman marriage principles. I proudly serve clients of all ages, starting at 4 years old and over.

It has been an honor to serve the Lord and to fulfill His calling on my life as a biblical counselor over the past several years. I am equipped to work with individuals and couples. My areas of specialty include anxiety, OCD, depression, communication, conflict resolution, relationship issues, grief, codependency, parenting, marital and premarital counseling. I am a certified PrepareEnrich facilitator, which is a program approved by Twogether In Texas and waives the marriage license fee for engaged couples.

As a therapist, I understand that making a choice to change the thoughts, feelings, relationships, or circumstances in our lives that are creating barriers or problems is a courageous thing to do. My hope is to be able to come alongside my clients in their journey and work with them to set and achieve any personal goals they have for themselves.

I have a general counseling practice working with adolescent and adult individuals, as well as couples. I use individual and group therapy sessions to help people gain insight into themselves so that they can live fuller more satisfying lives. I also support clients as they move through the process of change. I see clients working through depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and LGBT issues. I work from a person centered perspective and am very passionate about my work.

Life is challenging and at times can be overwhelming. The need to have two Income families, shuttling kids to school then to activities such as sporting events, dance practice and band practice is very daunting to say the least. Sometimes people turn to substance abuse, and other unhealthy behaviors which then become a problem rather then a solution. This affects all family members. The real solution lies within each of us.
