Welcome! My name is Mallory. If you're reading this and looking for a place to begin your healing journey, you've already started one of the most challenging parts – reaching out for support. Have you wanted to talk to someone but felt you had nowhere to turn? Have you been feeling alone or like you're not good enough? Maybe you're feeling unheard, angry, or like life's struggles have become unmanageable. You need a safe space but feel like there's no such thing. That's where therapy comes in.

Hi! I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Texas specializing in working with adolescents, adults, and families struggling with the daily stressors of work, school, and life. I want to bridge the gap between understanding the individual as a person and seeing them only as the definition of their diagnosis. I enjoy working with all cultures and want to help those who want to find balance, reconnect with themselves, connect with others, discover their purpose and passion, and live them to their fullest. I am a faith-based licensed therapist who uses CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based modalities to help my clients.

You keep having the same conversation — one explains, the other defends, and nothing really gets resolved. You try to fix it, avoid it, or push through it… but the pattern keeps coming back. It's frustrating, disconnecting, and honestly a little defeating. Most couples don't have a content problem — they have a delivery problem. When timing, tone, and trust are off, even productive conversations turn into conflict or shutdown. Couples therapy can change that.

Evening availability is full, daytime appointments available. My philosophy of helping is one of partnership. Looking beyond diagnosis, you are the expert in your life, and I will work to understand your lifestyle, delve deep into issues, and set therapeutic goals accordingly. The probing may be hard, but my hope is that you will find the understanding that will lead to inner peace.

Entering therapy services can feel like the “last hope approach,” but therapy is for everyone, at any time in life. I passionately hold space with clients using a warm, inquisitive, affirming approach. I understand the daunting experience of entering sessions to face the often exiled parts of ourselves, and process challenging, confusing narratives. Though, like any great novel, we re-write our story throughout the therapeutic process. Our pages will flip, shift, and often get completely torn out to be revised, making for the most imperfectly beautiful story.

My working background includes addressing self-esteem, anxiety, trauma, grief, family issues, anger management, ADHD, life transitions, and PTSD.
Sometimes we find ourselves questioning the deeper meaning of our lives, feeling overwhelmed, or disconnected from our true selves. Reflections like these often mark the beginning of a journey towards growth and healing. I focus on creating a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where you can explore your present feelings and how they influence your behaviors. Other approaches I utilize in helping you navigate daily challenges involve identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviors, as well as reframing them.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
