I have been in private practice for 23 years and I am dedicated in providing quality care to my clients in a supportive private practice. I provide Individual, Relationship, Marriage, Family, Child, Adolescent and Adult therapies. I have a Master's Degree in Marriage/Family Therapy. I see the therapy process as a team effort with ongoing review of client satisfaction. When appropriate I consult other professionals and/or make referrals. I believe that peoples' feelings and behaviors are effected by their interpretations of events, and sometimes encourage clients to explore their interpretations. I try to work within their spiritual and cultural belief system, and seek information when my knowledge is limited.

I was born and raised in Hawaii, and got my doctorate in Chicago. After my doctorate I moved to the great state of Texas 14 years ago. I have worked with people in many different settings including psychiatric hospitals, outpatient and inpatient clinics, residential treatment centers for children, and rehabilitation and long-term care centers. As a licensed psychologist I specialize in individual, couples, and family psychotherapy. I've done Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with children, adults, and older adults. I also incorporate behavioral interventions such as imagery, progressive muscle and relaxation training.
