My clients come from many situations. Mostly they come to me with brokenness, some are addicted to drugs, alcohol and/or sex. Some struggle inside their marriages. Others arrive with deep longings to be of value or feel worthy. I see a large number of men with sexual addiction. I see wives that feel traumatized and betrayed. Often people arrive in my office in a crisis. Most couples I see are in some form of a conflict cycle; they each have hurt feelings and cannot seem to get unstuck from the cycle. As I also conduct psychological assessments, some clients come to me to to be tested for various reasons, such as legal issues

My counseling journey began in Brazil in 2005 and expanded to the US in 2021. As a therapist with over 10 years of counseling experience, I aim to help clients feel immersed in a secure atmosphere. I am a licensed professional bilingual counselor with 20 years of experience. I ran my private practice in Mexico since 2001 and moved to the US on 2005. I have extensive experience providing psychotherapy to individuals all ages with behavioral and emotional issues. I like to focus on understanding how our past experiences impact our behavior and the way we relate to others in the present. I have additional training in nutritional psychology and integrative medicine for mental health. Integrative medicine is a whole-body approach that refers to a combination of conventional and alternative methods.

I specialize in providing assessments across all ages ranges and presenting concerns including evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, intellectual disability, learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia), mood disorders (e.g., bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety), trauma-related disorders (e.g., PTSD), psychosis, and personality disorders. I have experience conducting assessments across a variety of settings including schools, inpatient, forensic, and private practice.

Through my education and experience, I have learned that people are truly doing the best they can at all times. Life can be so difficult, and we as humans are tasked with the complex job of navigating those difficulties. I utilize a multi-dimensional, trauma-informed, and attachment-based approach to help clients understand themselves, others, and their place in the world.
