As a Board Certified Art Therapist  and licensed professional counselor I have extensive work with at-risk youth, children and adults living with PTSD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, LGBTQ+, domestic violence, mass terrorism, sexual assault, and family conflict.
Finding the right therapist is not always an easy task. It is important that my clients feel comfortable and connected to the healing process as well as the therapeutic relationship. Art therapy goes beyond traditional talk therapy. It is a non-invasive form of healing that facilitates communication from our unconscious.

My specialties include anxiety, depression, unresolved past trauma, childhood abuse/neglect, loss and grief, parenting, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, stress management, and working with Asian American/minority issues such as family conflict, immigrant mental health, intergenerational trauma, perfectionism, and cultural identity.
At times, various stressors can overwhelm us, preventing us from fully enjoying and living life. Our challenges may seem like an enormous mountain blocking our path, leaving us feeling stuck and hopeless. However, instead of allowing the mountain to obstruct your progress, consider starting the climb, one step at a time. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance and support to help you achieve a satisfying and fulfilling life.

My practice focus is in treatment of depression, anxiety, other mood disorders, trauma resolution, and grief counseling.
In my experience, I have found that the most significant factor in effective counseling is the ability for the client and therapist to build a trusting relationship. In order for this to happen, you need to feel confident in my ability to not only provide appropriate clinical care, but to be able to meet you where you are, without judgement.

I currently find that the majority of my practice is made up of adults and older teens who report symptoms of anxiety, depression or trauma. For many different diagnoses or issues these symptoms are often the most apparent and focusing on them has helped get people in the door to explore other areas such as self-compassion, emotional validation, and communication. Ideally my clients are looking for someone to help them on the road to thinking, behaving, and feeling better. Someone to give nudges in more effective directions and cheer them on when they succeed, but not someone who will do all of the work for them.

If you're grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or grief, you do not need to take the next step alone.
I believe that seeking help is often the hardest and most courageous step. Brene Brown beautifully said that "courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen." Vulnerability, shame, and fear can make sharing difficult, but these are normal companions on the path to change. Trusting the process and accepting your emotions are key steps. Through our darkest times, there is much to be gleaned, and as your therapist, I am here to walk alongside you through the ups and downs of your journey.
