I work best with clients who are ready to show up for themselves and put in effort between sessions, even when growth feels uncomfortable. People often come to me when they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for meaningful change. I focus on creating a warm, safe space where clients can be honest and feel supported. As a bilingual counselor (English (fluent), Spanish (intermediate) ), I value culturally responsive care and collaboration, tailoring our work together to each person’s goals, strengths, and lived experience.

You’ve spent a long time surviving in systems that were never designed to support your healing. Maybe that looks like always holding it together for everyone else, burnout that won’t go away, high-functioning anxiety, emotional numbness, people-pleasing, or relationship patterns that leave you feeling stuck. I work with high-functioning women who are exhausted from carrying so much for everyone else. Whether you’re navigating trauma, chronic stress, caregiving, or spiritual deconstruction, therapy is paced, collaborative, and tailored to your nervous system and healing.

You've spent years being the strong one — the one who holds the family together, translates the culture gap, absorbs everyone else's expectations before your own. Maybe anxiety shows up in your chest before big decisions. Maybe trauma from childhood or across generations still shapes how you love and trust. Maybe you're pregnant, postpartum, or grieving a pregnancy loss no one talks about, and you need a therapist who understands the cultural weight underneath it. I work with BIPOC adults, couples, and families ready to stop managing symptoms and start healing the root.

I love working with moms hanging on by a thread, CEOs at their wit's end, and couples who feel like they've been living in a dying relationship for years. Moms come in running on fumes, convinced that if they just tried harder they'd feel less like they're drowning. CEOs walk in looking like they have it together, and by minute ten we're talking about the 3am anxiety spirals nobody at the office ever sees. And the couples who've been stuck for years? They're not looking for someone to referee, they just want to remember why they fell in love in the first place, or figure out honestly if that's even still possible.

When you spend all your energy taking care of everyone else, it is incredibly easy to lose sight of who you really are. If you are tired of putting your needs at the bottom of a never-ending to-do list, feeling constantly exhausted, or wondering if life is supposed to feel more fulfilling than this, you are not alone. If you are feeling overwhelmed by the balancing act of career, family, and life, please know that your exhaustion is valid, and it does not have to be your permanent reality. Change is possible and rediscovering yourself is not something you have to do alone.

Anxiety is fear of a future outcome, and it doesn't stay in your thoughts. It shows up in your sleep, your body, and the way you move through your days. For some, it looks like a mind that won't quiet down at night. For others, it's the thing quietly stopping you from doing what you actually want to do. However it shows up, anxiety has been running the show, keeping you from the peace and the life that you're meant to have.

Are you feeling overwhelmed by your child's struggles with ADHD, anxiety, or behavioral challenges? As a child therapist, I understand how difficult it can be to watch your child wrestle with big emotions, social concerns, impulsive behaviors, or the weight of their worries. You may be feeling frustrated, worried, or unsure of how to best support your child. Please know that you’re not alone, and help is available. I value including parents in the treatment process by equipping you with the knowledge of how to help coach your child outside of therapy, as well.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether your therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Can clients benefit from having a therapist of the same gender?
Therapy is not gender-specific, but some men as well as women feel more comfortable opening up about their experiences and history with therapists of a specific gender. An individual may feel that they have to explain less background information and be on the same page more quickly, particularly when discussing gender-specific challenges. That said, a good clinician can transcend most if not all gender concerns. Ultimately, the most important factor in therapy is the connection and trust the client is able to build with the practitioner.

What are the advantages of seeing a female therapist?
Many people - not just women - prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. Women who see a female therapist may also feel freer to discuss challenges that are closely tied to gender, such as life transitions including motherhood or menopause. Some clients who instinctively feel more comfortable disclosing to women may find it easier to broach sensitive subjects with a female therapist. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Is therapy different for men and women?
Therapy can be different for men and women insofar as gender plays a role in the challenges an individual faces and the events in life an individual has experienced. Women often face different expectations from their families, friends, and society than men do. In some cases, women might feel most comfortable expressing themselves differently from how men do. Talking about one's feelings and emotions is a critical part of most therapies, and some women might find it comes more naturally when talking to a female therapist. Ultimately, though, therapeutic treatment should be tailored to the individual's specific needs.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK - even encouraged! - to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
