Deep down, we all want to be seen, heard, and valued. Many of us have have not always had the support we've needed to make space for and understand our complex emotions. This can lead to anxiety and emotional overwhelm for those of us who never had someone to help us understand and process our emotions.

I collaboratively work with clients walking through any stage of life, struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, relationships, ADHD, ASD, and more.
The word therapy can often evoke feelings of uncertainty. My goal is not to change individuals but to empower individuals to find their strengths, communicate their experiences, and construct lives filled with hope and satisfaction. After all, counseling isn’t an end but a journey for the counselor and the client.

Picture this: You are going through daily life, but inside, you feel like you aren't reaching your potential. You are a success at work, on your team, at school, and yet...you know you have potential for more. But you just can't seem to get the results you want, almost like you are "blocked," somehow. You've tried everything to get past this "block" from books to podcasts to Tik Tok reels, but you just haven't found the right solution for you.

You’ve carried so much. The weight of trauma, cultural tensions, and expectations that don’t always align with your values has shaped your journey. You may long to honor your roots while trying to navigate a society that doesn’t always see or understand you. You’ve worked hard, pushed forward, and built a life in many ways, but inside, you may still feel disconnected. Perhaps you’ve been told to just “adapt,” yet that adaptation has come at the cost of your authentic self. Your trauma symptoms—whether they show up as anxiety, sadness, detachment, or physical exhaustion—may be impacting your relationships and your work.

Burn out and shame can affect more than you think- that list of chores is now a punishment, or maybe you now feel lost in a career you loved. When you struggle with motivation and self worth, every day can feel like a losing battle but you don’t have to do it alone. It doesn't always have to end in a fight against time and anxiety, and you don't have to feel shame for struggling to complete what seems to come easily to others. Understanding what really makes you tick and finding motivation within yourself can put you on the path to living on your own terms instead of playing catch-up.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.
How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.
Are there specific medications for ADHD?
Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.
How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
