I work with both individuals and relationships on topics related to: identity, coming out, more than monogamy/polyamory, expansive sexuality/ kink, fandom, stress, and relational conflict.
Let's decolonize mental health. Your well-being should not come at the expense of authenticity. No matter where you are in your life, the world can feel isolating and exhausting, especially when we do not fit neatly into narrow roles we are told are acceptable. Through connection and community, we develop the skills and language to describe our experiences. You get to define the terms of your own existence, you may already have the words or they could be difficult to find. Our therapeutic connection can provide a space for you to feel safe and supported in creating your space in the world.

You may be the person others rely on—the one who adapts, keeps the peace, and tries to hold everything together. Yet underneath that capable exterior, you may feel overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or afraid that setting a boundary will disappoint someone or cause them to leave. Perhaps you recognize the same painful patterns appearing in your relationships but are unsure how to change them. I work with adults navigating trauma, emotional neglect, relationship difficulties, people-pleasing, shame, abandonment fears, and questions related to identity and self-worth.

I am a warm, compassionate therapist dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. I believe that healing begins with connection, and I strive to build authentic, collaborative relationships with each person I work with. I have a particular interest in supporting teachers and other professionals experiencing occupational burnout. The emotional demands of caregiving and service-oriented roles can be overwhelming, and I work alongside clients to restore balance, clarify values, and reconnect with purpose. I also work with individuals exploring gender identity and related concerns.

I strive to foster a safe environment for all clients through trauma informed care that is sex-positive, culturally grounded, kink informed, and LGBTQIA+ affirming.
You are the expert on your own life, and my job is to help you interpret your experiences to find a way of living that serves you. With couples or individuals, I help clients identify the beliefs and behaviors they want to prioritize while adapting behaviors that may no longer serve them in the life they want to live. In my work with couples, I offer guidance in finding new ways to approach communication and conflict resolution with an emphasis on context over content. I believe most problems are not inherent, and sometimes a change in perspective can offer clarity in approaching issues that may otherwise feel insurmountable.

Trauma • Sexuality • Spirituality — If you’ve ever been told you’re too much or not enough, too loud or too quiet, too sensitive or too tough, you’re in the right place. I work with creative minds and big personalities, dreamers and doers, and tender-hearted old souls who are ready to transform trauma, release shame, and live more authentically. My clients are often people who have carried stress, worry, and grief on their backs for years, yet still rise with strength in their bones. You have a right to exist exactly as you are: fully, fiercely, and unapologetically.

I have extensive experience with LGBTQ+ folks, ENM/polyamory, kink/BDSM, and sex-positive communities—I especially love working with people exploring nonmonogamy and literally wrote the book on it.
Maybe you're feeling stuck in your relationship—or in life. You're wondering if things could be different, better, more honest. Perhaps you're curious about opening your relationship but don't know where to start, or you're already nonmonogamous and hitting rough patches. Maybe your concerns have nothing to do with relationship structure—you're just struggling with anxiety, feeling disconnected from yourself, or ready to make changes you've been putting off. Whatever brings you here, you're looking for someone who will really listen, who won't judge your choices, and who can help you figure out what you actually want.

I am sex and sex work positive and kink and polyamory affirming and knowledgeable.
I'm a queer therapist specializing in work with the LGBTQ+ community. My approach to therapy is warm, down to earth, and collaborative. Therapy can be difficult at times, but it can also be a space for curiosity, play, and laughter. The best therapy is a place where you are able to bring your full range of emotions and all of yourself. As someone who has definitely wondered if feeling your feelings is really necessary, I understand how difficult it can be to sit with uncomfortable or frightening emotions. Together we can create a space that is safe enough and strong enough to hold whatever it is you might be experiencing.

Some people show up to therapy after years of shrinking themselves to fit somewhere they never quite belonged. My clients are often queer, non binary, or navigating identity, relationships, or self-worth in ways the world has not always made room for. Anxiety, depression, trauma, and burnout tend to be part of the picture too. My approach is queer-empowering and feminist, and the relationship we build matters more than any technique. My team and I show up real, consistent, and honest, so you can finally exhale.

I was drawn to become a therapist as a queer, transgender person with a desire to support people in my community. It is an honor to work with people on their journeys to living their most authentic and fulfilling lives in a world that has not always been safe or accepting of many of our identities and experiences.

Sex-Positive, Kink Allied Therapists
Why might an individual want to see a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist?
A sex-positive or kinky individual may want to see a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist because the client may feel safer and more supported discussing their experiences and challenges. A therapist who identifies as kink-friendly will have experience with clients having diverse sexual preferences and will likely be nonjudgmental and supportive about issues brought to the table. It is important to note that sex-positive, kink-allied individuals may find equal success with therapists who do not have such specialized knowledge and background. The most important factor in the success of therapy is for the client and practitioner to form a strong, trusting bond.

Do therapists have special training to gain expertise in sex-positive, kink-allied treatment?
Generally, no. There are limited training programs and unofficial accreditations that therapists can pursue, but a therapist’s expertise will ultimately come from their previous experience with similar clients, their engagement with organizations that promote sex positivity or kink-allied lifestyles, and the importance they place on safety and cultural sensitivity.

How can individuals recognize a good sex-positive, kink-allied therapist?
An experienced therapist is able to help clients explore their sexual identity and expression and relieve any discomfort or stigma attached to discussing such matters and the client’s overall challenges. A therapist who is sex-positive and kink-allied is able to create an environment that honors a client’s experience and sexual preferences. To recognize a good therapist, clients can simply ask directly about topics and issues important to them and gauge their comfort level and connection with a clinician based on the responses.

Can clients benefit from having a therapist with a focus on sex positivity and alternative sexual lifestyles?
Some individuals may feel most comfortable knowing that the clinician they’re working with has a commitment to creating an atmosphere of sex positivity and has experience with relationship diversity and alternative relationship structures. Working with a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist may help clients respect their own challenges and improve identity-affirming treatment.
