I’m a therapist with 5 years of experience, working with the LGBTQ+ community and individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and coming out later in life. I draw from CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing to support growth, insight, and meaningful change. My style is open, collaborative, and sometimes humorous—because therapy can hold both the hard stuff and the light. Outside the office, I love traveling, exploring new foods, and unwinding by the pool.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming - I see you. You don't have to do this alone. People who are neurodivergent sometimes feel like they have to work twice as hard to fit into a world that wasn't designed with their needs in mind. Also, many of my clients are deconstructing their beliefs, healing from religious trauma, or feeling disconnected in their relationships. You're invited to connect with your vulnerability, invisibility, or hurt. If you're feeling overwhelmed, I'm here with you and will empower your healing and growth.

I became a therapist because I genuinely care for people. My practice is centered around building relationships. I believe my greatest strength as a therapist is my life experience. I feel that it gives me a unique perspective that enables me to empathize with my clients. I believe that the most important things a client needs to know is that they are not alone; that there is hope and that they have everything they need inside of themselves to get better.

Trauma comes in so many different shapes, sizes, and varieties. Maybe you are on here looking for someone who understands what it feels like to be hurt by the person you love most or the religion you’ve given so much to. Those are incredibly hard situations to go through and finding an understanding and empathic helper is so important. I would love to help you in that journey as you process those issues. For the past three years I have received training and experience in helping people overcome the trauma of being in abusive relationships and spiritual wounds.

Even if you do not have a history of trauma, if you practice kink and/or consensual non-monogamy it can be anxiety inducing to seek help.
I have spent the past three years working with clients who were dealing with the effects of trauma, including rape and incest. I have extensive training in kink to better serve those who practice it. I understand that this journey is scary and I am here to help make it possible for you to process your past, cope with the current, and focus on your future.

You’ve been the rock for everyone else — pushing forward even when your tank is empty. It's the only way you know how to survive, and it's worked so far. Right? Carrying the weight of trauma, parenthood, anxiety, relationship struggles, childhood abuse, a thankless job and a dwindling sense of self-worth has left you feeling weak and drained. But you are so much stronger than you think. Strength isn’t stuffing it down/never needing help—it’s knowing when to reach for it. Counseling is your chance to lay down some of that weight, rediscover your resilience, and begin building a life that feels lighter, stronger, and truly yours.

You are powerful. Maybe you don't feel it right now and that's OK. Borrow our faith: you can handle it! You are the expert on you, and we are here to walk with you as you determine what needs to stay & what needs to go. To make a safe place for you to release thoughts, habits or people which are no longer serving you in a positive way. As a self-identifying African- american lesbian, we have had an unique variety of experiences. We work with you to empower your belief and confidence. We believe “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.” One step at a time, we are working towards progress over perfection.

Sex-Positive, Kink Allied Therapists

Why might an individual want to see a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist?

A sex-positive or kinky individual may want to see a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist because the client may feel safer and more supported discussing their experiences and challenges. A therapist who identifies as kink-friendly will have experience with clients having diverse sexual preferences and will likely be nonjudgmental and supportive about issues brought to the table. It is important to note that sex-positive, kink-allied individuals may find equal success with therapists who do not have such specialized knowledge and background. The most important factor in the success of therapy is for the client and practitioner to form a strong, trusting bond.

Do therapists have special training to gain expertise in sex-positive, kink-allied treatment?

Generally, no. There are limited training programs and unofficial accreditations that therapists can pursue, but a therapist’s expertise will ultimately come from their previous experience with similar clients, their engagement with organizations that promote sex positivity or kink-allied lifestyles, and the importance they place on safety and cultural sensitivity.

How can individuals recognize a good sex-positive, kink-allied therapist?

An experienced therapist is able to help clients explore their sexual identity and expression and relieve any discomfort or stigma attached to discussing such matters and the client’s overall challenges. A therapist who is sex-positive and kink-allied is able to create an environment that honors a client’s experience and sexual preferences. To recognize a good therapist, clients can simply ask directly about topics and issues important to them and gauge their comfort level and connection with a clinician based on the responses.

Can clients benefit from having a therapist with a focus on sex positivity and alternative sexual lifestyles?

Some individuals may feel most comfortable knowing that the clinician they’re working with has a commitment to creating an atmosphere of sex positivity and has experience with relationship diversity and alternative relationship structures. Working with a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist may help clients respect their own challenges and improve identity-affirming treatment.
