I also use mindfulness, breath work, and somatic practices for nervous system regulation.
Healing begins in the safety of a genuine relationship, one where you feel seen, heard, and understood. You already hold the wisdom and strength to create the life you want. My role is to walk beside you as a guide and partner, helping you uncover the clarity and confidence that already lives within you. Together, we’ll explore the stories and pressures that no longer serve you and begin to rebuild a life that feels authentic, empowered, and deeply connected. Working with couples and families will focus on the needs of the system. Sessions are designed to identify patterns and move toward deeper understanding of each other.

Currently not accepting clients. "I belong everywhere I go, no matter where it is, or who I am with, as long as I never betray myself." -Brene Brown. We betray ourselves in a lot of ways, especially as women, as we try to please our loved ones. But self-betrayal is harmful, especially if it is a response to being betrayed by others. I am here to help you in your healing journey as you get to know and trust yourself so that you can make choices for yourself out of a sense of love and freedom- not fear or control. If you are anxious, stressed, or have been betrayed- know that trusting yourself may be the key to unlocking a full life.

I specialize in working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma, family conflict, and life transitions. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of their next step. Together, we clarify their values, uncover strengths, and build coping strategies that support emotional regulation, self-worth, and meaningful relationships. My lived experiences also bring depth to my work. My ideal client is someone who is ready for change, even if they’re unsure where to begin. They may be carrying unspoken pain from childhood trauma, struggling with direction, or simply feeling stuck.

I have worked in diverse mental health settings and have been practicing therapy since 2015. I am the oldest daughter of immigrants and a first generation college graduate. From a very young age I felt the weight of expectations put on to me by my family, society, and my culture. I became very good at taking on roles that were not mine, and quickly burned myself out. It wasn’t until graduate school that I really allowed myself to explore the root of my unhappiness.

I work with teens and adults across Texas who are neurodivergent (ADHD, autistic, highly sensitive, or unsure), especially those feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or like they’ve had to “push through” life in ways that don’t fit. Many come to therapy after it hasn’t worked before. Together, we slow things down, reduce overwhelm, and build ways of functioning that actually match how your brain works—without shame or pressure to be different.

I’m a licensed clinical mental health counselor who believes therapy should feel safe, honest, and genuinely supportive—not clinical, stiff, or judgmental. Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
