When you wake up in the morning, just before you open your eyes you can feel their presence whoever they maybe, but then your eyes open and reality sets in. You hear the horrid sound of an alarm blaring in your ear. It is time to wake up, to remember they are gone and you are still here. Your grief feels as though it never turns off. It swirls around you all day and night while you try and live life as if the grief is not trying to constantly swallow you. You are looking for someone to listen to the woes of grief and the darkness that follows. You just want someone to understand how hard it is to be the one here when they are gone.

Are you struggling with self-doubt, negative self-talk, or feeling like you’re not enough? You’re not alone.
Hola! My name is Jazmin Baca and I specialize in helping teens and young adults build self-esteem, develop confidence, and break free from the pressure to be "perfect."
A big part of our work will be understanding how past experiences—especially family dynamics and early beliefs—shape the way you see yourself today. Together, we’ll identify patterns that no longer serve you, replace them with healthier ways of thinking, and help you step into your full potential with confidence and self-acceptance.

We provide psychological evaluations and psychotherapy to serve clients who are ready to embark upon the journey of healing by assessing and processing unresolved issues and exploring unsettled emotions and behavior. Our goal is to help clients gain insight into symptoms that have affected their daily lives and relationships by supporting clients’ exploration into what underlies their issues. The question is not “What’s wrong with you” but rather “What happened to you, and how can you become a better version of yourself?"

Are you a mother who swore you would “do better” than how you were raised — yet find yourself triggered, overwhelmed, or reacting in ways you don’t understand?
Many adult daughters of dysfunctional families carry unresolved childhood wounds into motherhood. You may struggle with people-pleasing, guilt when setting boundaries, anxiety, emotional reactivity, or the constant pressure to be everything for everyone. On the outside you’re functioning. Inside, you’re exhausted.
I specialize in EMDR therapy for women who are ready to break generational cycles.

My foundation is based in the sacred history of women as healers and I am most comfortable "dancing" in that sacred space where mind, body, and spirit converge. I have extensive training in trauma-informed, spiritually-integrated therapy. Having an ear for “faith stories,” I provide a safe and inclusive space for doing deeper, spiritual work for those looking to heal generational trauma, transition from one phase of life to another, break unhealthy cycles, and transform challenges into spiritual stamina.

How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.
How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.
How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
