You look like you have it together. But inside, your brain won’t shut off. You overthink everything, feel behind no matter how much you do, and you’re running on stress fumes. You’ve tried to power through, read the books, maybe even done therapy before… and you’re still stuck in the same loop. What you want is simple: steady calm, clearer direction, stronger boundaries, and a life that feels like yours again.

I provide therapy in English and Spanish for children, adolescents and adults with Anxiety, OCD or Trauma related disorders and employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to address the concerns that clients care about most.
In my psychotherapy practice I help clients learn how to know and understand themselves better and become experts at their own story. The experience of seeing our story fully can be uncomfortable because we may not like what we see. But with compassion and empathy I walk through that process with each client to courageously see their life and identify the ways they want to change. We work together at the clients pace to grow and break out of the cycles that keep them stuck in order to experience breakthrough and healing.

I specialize in anxiety, OCD, complex trauma, and personality-related patterns, and I often work well with highly sensitive, neurodivergent, and LGBTQIA+ clients.
I work with adults and couples who feel stuck in patterns that don’t seem to change—despite insight, effort, or past therapy.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and self-aware. They understand themselves on one level, but still find the same emotional reactions, relationship dynamics, or internal struggles repeating. My work focuses on going deeper—understanding not just what’s happening, but why it keeps happening, and how to create lasting change.

I work with clients who are struggling with OCD and body focused repetitive behaviors, and other anxiety disorders.
A therapist is like a dentist. We can avoid them for a while, and sometimes we find one we like or don't like. Eventually, though, everyone needs to see one. Therapy won't solve your problems, but it will help equip you with the tools you need to get through. We offer in-person and video sessions, and see children to adults. We have several groups available, and we accept insurance and offer a sliding scale. We believe therapy is for everyone. Contact us for a free consultation. Even if you don't end up seeing a therapist with our practice, we can help you find someone that you connect with.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.
What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.
Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.
Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
