We are Anti-Racist, Feminist and Social Justice orientated providers, owned and operated from a multiethnic perspective.
We are a multiethnic and multiracial group practice that centralizes care for BIPoC and LGBTQIA+ communities. Clients who come to us are working though life challenges related to their identities. They are often in a process of self-exploration, working to make sense of their place and identity in the world where they are made to feel like "the other" and have been marginalized, traumatized, and blatantly microaggressed. We recognize the importance of finding providers who get it, from a shared and lived experience. Here, our aim is connect communities of color and queer communities with providers of color and queer providers.

This systemic focus includes a feminist, culturally aware, and LGBTQ affirming viewpoint.
You can find freedom to live your authentic life after restrictive religion. After experiencing high control religion you may feel anxiety, guilt, anger, and more as you navigate the confusing process of taking space away from the religion you were raised in. You want to set boundaries and start living life on your terms, but feel afraid to speak up or experiment with what you might want for yourself. I will help you sort through the anxiety, fear, and anger so that you can break free from the confines of your restrictive religious experience and its lingering effects.

I use a mix of person-centered, Feminist, Queer, and anti-oppression/liberation-based therapies.
I am a queer, nonbinary therapist who specializes in working with folks exploring their gender, sexual, or romantic identity, and/or sexual trauma. There's no such thing as TMI in therapy with me: we can talk about sex, dating, abuse, religion, money, family, and other "shameful" topics without judgment. We can cuss, cry, laugh, share memes, and make darkly inappropriate jokes about mental health. Therapy requires honesty and cutting through the bs; healing only happens through authentic connection.

I utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Feminist Therapy.
I help clients determine their goals. Usually, in the beginning, goals are broader. Sometimes, after working together for a while, the goals may become more specific. It is up to each individual client and their needs as to what goals will be set.

Accepting new clients as of 5/1! Are you exhausted of feeling and thinking the same way? Are you someone who wants to change but doesn’t know where to start? You are a person of color and/or queer individual who feels frustrated, sad, or maybe even confused at the state of the world. Or you find yourself saying you have a "complicated" relationship with your parent(s). You say "I'm fine" but feel the opposite. I will help you “feel lighter”, break patterns, connect with your feelings, discover your values and how to live them out in your relationships, and make the changes necessary to embrace your authentic self.

Therapy is a safe place to explore challenges in our lives & find strengths that we never knew we had. It has the potential to lift us out of our rut so that we can finally make the changes we've longed for. Whether you are working to decrease your anxiety, unmasking and living authentically, changing careers, exploring your gender or sexual identity, or trying to change your relationships, therapy can be a great place to get a fresh perspective & face these challenges with a champion by your side. My own identity as a multiracial, queer, gender nonconforming therapist enables me to understand clients who feel like outsiders.

Feminist Therapists
How does feminist therapy work?
Feminist therapy sessions are not only personal but often cultural or political in nature, as the approach is based on the belief that people are affected by, and often struggle with, cultural and societal norms and biases, and need to move beyond those external pressures or stressors to tap their own confidence and engage more fully in their own identity. Sessions may therefore include discussions of sexism, diversity, and gender issues and talk of steps toward greater empowerment for patients who believe they have been silenced and seek to raise their voices.
What are examples of feminist therapy techniques?
Along with traditional talk therapy and analysis, a feminist therapist may employ techniques such as role-playing and assertiveness training to help clients build their self-esteem so that they feel they can act freely, and not based on cultural expectations or gender roles dictated by others. A feminist therapist may also engage in bibliotherapy, offering suggested readings on gender identity or social power inequities as they work toward viewing mental-health concerns through a broad cultural lens before focusing on how they affect the individual. Somatic therapy techniques, with an emphasis on body awareness, self-compassion, and mindfulness practices are also often part of feminist therapist practice.
How long does feminist therapy last?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for feminist therapy; people who believe that they are making progress typically continue until they feel they’ve addressed the issues that had been holding them back. It may take some time to become comfortable discussing personal issues, but once a client feels they can do so, they could expect therapy to last for a number of months, typically including at least 12 sessions.
Does feminist therapy work?
As a relatively recent therapeutic technique, there is not yet a body of evidence proving the efficacy of feminist therapy. However, the approach is based on proven core principles of talk therapy, with a particular emphasis on developing a therapeutic relationship based on equality and authentic connection between therapist and client and discovering and building on clients’ personal strengths to help them gain a greater sense of personal power and agency.
