It's when you feel the slightest tinge of judgement or when you're being questioned on your thought process or decision-making, that the big feelings hit. Becoming defensive comes naturally, but not because you enjoy arguing or "you just want to be right." It's because you want to feel understood, heard, & validated. It feels like an even harder task to focus on understanding the situation or topic at hand, when your nervous system is too busy in protection mode. You know their feelings matter too, but your feelings and inner voice ring even louder. It's hard to find the quiet & clarity in the midst of a storm.

Hi. I'm Steve. Do you ever wonder why, no matter how many different things you've tried, you fall back into old behaviors that hurt you and/or those you love? We all face questions like this, and the most fulfilling part of my work is helping people like you find answers to those questions.

“You shall know (Your!) truth, and it shall set you free.” I believe we all have the ability to heal and transform our lives - and we all have a unique path to get us there. Let’s discover your deepest truths together so that your heart and mind may be renewed and you might live more abundantly. If you're willing to do some work, I will work hard to create a safe space for you, and we can collaborate on this journey together. I have a Master's degree in Religious studies, so I can incorporate spirituality into sessions if you would like, but this is 100% optional. I have connected with clients of all bends. :-)

Common issues: stress, burnout, anger, anxiety, ADHD patterns, relationship conflict, life transitions, and leadership challenges.
I lean towards targeted therapy with clear, measurable goals. Sessions are active and directive: we define targets, build small experiments, track progress, and untangle barriers. I blend CBT/ACT, skills, habit design, and communication tools so you leave each session with a plan or at least something new to chew on, and the accountability to follow through.
