My clients come into the office knowing one thing- they want a change. Often having an idea of exactly what it is that needs to change, and sometimes just knowing that 'it doesn't feel right'. I help my clients understand that each behavior is understood given the context that surrounds it. We will focus on the things that are not that obvious, perhaps it's the mere emotion that is motivating the behavior. Other times we might need to dig a little deeper. Together we work towards the same end goal: transformation.

I love supporting people in getting as close to the truth of their situation as possible, because I believe the truth is where you will find your happiness. This has been true for me in my own life. I know very personally what a difference it makes to be understood in a deep and consistent way.

Your inner world is limiting your ability to feel joy and security. You feel stuck, jaded and tired. Things that seem to work for others with ease are a challenge for you. You feel alone and misunderstood. You live in a world where feeling unheard and insignificant is the norm. Your need to be accepted often makes you invisible. It disconnects you from the deeper needs of love, connection and safety. You are tired of feeling this way for far too long and something, anything needs to change. Let me help! I work with the stubborn parts of you which refuse to use the coping skills you've learned.

Welcome to my practice. I’m a therapist who believes healing happens in relationships that feel safe, respectful, and real. Many of my clients are insightful and self-aware, yet still struggle with anxiety, self-doubt, or feeling responsible for everyone else. Together, we slow things down, listen to what your nervous system is asking for, and create space for you to feel more grounded, confident, and connected.

Have you ever just wanted to sit down to off-load something that’s been eating away at you for too long? Recognizing the need for help and seeking professional therapy is a sign of strength and determination to live a productive and meaningful life. As a part of living our lives, we may encounter situations that are difficult to manage alone. Some seek support due to a situational crisis. Others seek treatment as a necessary aspect of managing a medical disorder, commonly known as a mental illness. Whether you are experiencing a life adjustment or more complex medical conditions, it is a well known fact that therapy helps.

My work blends AEDP, EMDR, brainspotting, CBT, and DBT in an experiential and holistic process.
I work with individuals who've learned to survive by staying on guard, over-responsible, and attuned to everyone else but themselves. This pattern often shows up as anxiety, depression, chronic overwhelm, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and ADHD-related challenges. Life may look functional, yet feel emotionally numb, disappointing, or disconnected. Many want closeness but fear losing control or falling apart if they slow down. Therapy becomes a place to interrupt survival mode, restore emotional regulation, rebuild connection, and move toward a life that feels grounded, meaningful, and genuinely satisfying.

I incorporate training in attachment theory, IFS, Polyvagal (PV), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), AEDP, and somatic/mindfulness.
You've tried really hard to do the "right" and "good" things, or to be "strong" and capable, yet you're left feeling less than "good." Perhaps stress, overwhelming situations, trauma, church hurt, and/or spiritual / emotional abuse (coercive control) have left you hurt and exhausted. You want healing, but it's hard to know how to move forward. Trauma-informed therapy provides a supportive process for undoing the harm caused by past events, while supporting your physical/spiritual/emotional needs so you can heal.

AEDP Therapists

Who is AEDP therapy for?

Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) is for adults who have experienced emotional pain in the past that, because it has not been adequately addressed and processed, interferes with current functioning. The problems might manifest in a number of different ways, from excessive anger to relationship difficulties to PTSD to eating disorders, poor self-esteem, and depression. They may also be accompanied by physiological symptoms. AEDP helps people accept and digest challenging emotional experiences.

Why do people need AEDP?

People need AEDP as a way to manage distressing emotions—including anger, shame, and guilt—that in some way hamper the ability to function and form satisfying relationships in the present. The therapist-client relationship is believed to provide corrective emotional and relational experiences that facilitate positive changes in brain function, forge pathways for processing traumatic experiences, and allow resolution of emotional pain.

What happens in AEDP therapy?

Once individuals have established a strong bond with the AEDP therapist and the therapist has established a safe and secure environment, clients are encouraged to explore their most painful emotional experiences. They may be asked to pay attention to disquieting body sensations as well as to psychological discomfort. Individuals learn how to process emotions, rather than avoid them. Through the strength of the therapist-client bond, each session is intended to provide a powerful positive experience for individuals, enabling growth.

What problems does AEDP treat?

AEDP is intended to treat the unprocessed emotional pain caused by earlier distressing experiences, which commonly includes behavioral avoidance of current situations and experiences for fear that they will reactivate painful feelings. Emotional pain and avoidant behavior play a role in a wide array of mental health conditions, which is why AEDP is applied to the treatment of a range of disorders including depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship difficulties, and eating disorders.
