Many of us mask the hurt and the pain that we are feeling, so that we appear to be doing good. We allow the struggles of daily life to captivate us in a way that we sometimes don't recognize ourselves. We are doing enough just to get by or often in survival mode. When you are hurting, it often feels like no one is in your corner, but that's where I come in! I am here to help provide you the tools needed to go from surviving, to thriving!

So many of us are suffering because we are unconsciously holding on to limiting beliefs and maladaptive coping behaviors that have helped us to survive in the past, but are no longer serving us in the present. We fear our own shadow and conceal parts of us that we have been taught not to like - the parts that make us human. This causes our actions to be driven by fear, doubt, and shame rather than freedom, confidence, and love. You have the power to be the person who takes up space confidently, honor your needs, and live from a place of freedom and unconditional love.

I draw from a foundation of Psychodynamic principles and incorporate a range of techniques from other philosophies to address current and past experiences that may be influencing relational patterns and interpersonal relationships. I believe that in helping to bring the unconscious in conscious awareness, we open new opportunities to move towards increased self-awareness and more intentional living.

Given my flexible and holistic approach, I favor modalities such as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy ( ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Walk-and-Talk Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
Brene Brown once said, “The truth is that falling hurts. The dare is to keep being brave and feel your way back up.” Sometimes, this can be a daunting realization, but you don’t have to do it alone! My own experiences with grief, loss, infertility, anxiety and other life changes have shown me a level of familiarity and connection that cannot be taught, allowing me to connect with others in need of support. I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2022 and am actively pursuing specialized training in maternal mental health and family support. It would be an honor to walk alongside your journey to peace

My therapeutic approaches include acceptance and commitment therapy, compassion focused therapy, and trauma-informed modalities.
You can find freedom from guilt in order to live your authentic life after restrictive religion. After experiencing high control religion you may feel anxiety, anger, and shame as you navigate the confusing process of taking space away from the religion you were raised in. You want to set boundaries and start living life on your terms, but feel afraid to speak up or experiment with what you might want for yourself. I will help you sort through the anxiety, fear, and anger so that you can break free from the confines of your restrictive religious experience and its lingering effects.

My ideal client is a child or teen (ages 4–18) struggling with emotional regulation, anxiety, social challenges, or life transitions like starting a new school, coping with parental separation, or exploring identity. Many of the youth I work with are neurodivergent and thrive in a space that honors their unique way of thinking and feeling. They need a supportive environment where they can express themselves through play, creativity, and age-appropriate conversation.

Life can start to feel like it is all about pushing through the day and holding everything together. You have been the dependable one for a long time, carrying responsibility because someone had to, and now you are exhausted in a way that rest alone does not fix.
Therapy is a space to slow down and sort out what truly helps. You do not need to perform, overexplain, or have the right words. We focus on understanding what has been weighing on you and finding practical ways to feel more grounded, clear headed, and like yourself again.

I’m Linda, and like many of the people I work with, I’ve faced my own seasons of struggle ; from divorce and abuse to codependency, stress, and family challenges. Therapy helped me heal, and that journey shaped the counselor I am today. My goal is to “pay it forward” by offering the same safe space and support to others.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.
What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.
Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.
How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
