Hi there! My name is Chinh. If you’ve reached my page, chances are that your heart has been broken, you probably just had the umpteenth argument with your significant other, or you are just tired of the endless cycle of self-doubt, low self-esteem, and irrational thoughts/beliefs. I come from a culture that does not typically believe in mental illness. Emotional issues were ignored or swept under the rug. I was taught growing up that I shouldn't talk about my feelings; showing any type of emotion was a sign of weakness. My hope as a therapist is help end the stigma associated with mental illness and normalize reaching out for help.

Child–Parent-Relationship Therapy (CPRT) is a 11-session parent training program designed to help strengthen the relationship between a parent and a child. Parents will be guided through the process by me, a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in child development, relational attachment, and play based interventions. Parents learn both by traditional in-session learning and by experiential recorded play sessions at home. Feedback, personalized resources, and support are provided throughout the process. They are taught basic play therapy skills and principles that they can feel confident implementing at home.

Additionally, I also possess licensure for Marriage and Family Therapy in the state of Louisiana. My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Southern University, Master's degree in Counseling from Southern University, and a doctorate in Counseling from the University of New Orleans. I received additional training in Family Mediation from Loyola Law School.

Ryan Crawford is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas who started practicing in 2005. He has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University Shreveport and a Master of Science in Psychology with Specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Our Lady of the Lake University. Ryan believes in providing a safe and affirming environment for clients helps to promote conversation within sessions. He feels that each person comes into treatment with their own combination of narratives and experiences and taking the time to learn their language and meanings in their lives can lead to understanding and change.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to creating a safe space for sharing, healing, and transformation to occur. I approach this relationship from a client-centered and trauma-informed perspective, and my therapeutic orientation is holistic, intuitive, and integrative. Art therapy and other symbolic communication can be an important component of psychological healing, and I specialize in expressive therapies that encourage self-exploration.
