With ever growing stress and the ‘new normal,’ even the most resilient of us sometimes need help in overcoming new battles and daily challenges. We understand there may be hesitancy to reach out for mental health services. However, a characteristic of strength is recognizing challenges and taking courageous steps to improve ‘you’ and thereby better serving others. We recognize how stigma and unawareness can lead to poor mental health outcomes resulting in negative consequences for individuals, families, and society as a whole. We provide mental health services that are compassionate-responsive-competent-responsible.
Welcome! I am no longer accepting new clients! I believe that we are all different which influences how we live in and experience the world. Thus, I find it necessary to consider the cultural background and uniqueness of the person while conducting therapy. I meet the person where they are at in life and ask that they bring their authentic self into the room. I will not judge you, but instead explore the events that brought you to therapy.
Being everything to everyone is exhausting, builds resentment, and leaves us feeling irritable, angry, and sad. You often don’t have time for yourself and you may feel that no one truly sees you for who you are or all that you offer. The anxiety that comes from living this life can be stifling, confusing, and frustrating, but when exactly are you supposed to find the time to deal with all your feelings when you are constantly responding to everyone else's. The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are.
About Children often make the same mistakes we did when we were young. The only difference is... They have more temptations with easy access to the World Wide Web at the tip of their fingers. I dedicate my practice to providing services to youth who are engaging in risky sexual behaviors, delinquency, substance use and abuse, physical aggression, suicidal ideations, peer pressure, bullying, and referrals to the local juvenile probation department. Have confidence in your therapist knowing he not only has the necessary education and training but specializes in treatment for at-risk youth.
While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complimentary therapy approaches and techniques, together we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

It can be difficult to watch your child suffer. It is even more difficult to decide that you can't help and need to bring in an outsider. From the age of 11 on, children begin navigating more complex emotional lives. It can be difficult to deal with these big feelings when you don't have the vocabulary or tools to communicate what's going on. When your child speaks through behavior instead of words, you get things like bad grades, self harm, statements like "I hate myself" and "I'm a bad kid," drug use, sneaking out, and more.
