My place is to understand you, to hear you, and to listen to you. I specialize in daily life struggles, anxiety and depression, stress and trauma related to relationships or family. During our initial sessions, we will explore what's happening in life that's bringing you to see me, you may find out the past has been dragging itself into your present. Together we will process what's maintaining these consistent concerns, dismantle any damaging patterns and create realistic solutions. Most of my clients report feeling better within the first couple of sessions. Licensed in Texas, Louisiana and Colorado.

Healing is not just my profession it is my calling. From the depths of my soul, I believe that true transformation happens when the mind, body, and spirit are aligned. A faith-based therapist, I walk alongside those who are burdened by depression, anxiety, PTSD, and the scars of childhood trauma, guiding them toward healing, hope, and renewal. My ideal client is someone who carries deep emotional wounds perhaps from childhood trauma, toxic relationships, or overwhelming life experiences. They may struggle with persistent anxiety that keeps them trapped in fear, depression that dims their hope, or PTSD that replays painful memories.

If you’ve been trying to think your way out of a situation, you’re not alone, but you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. I work with adults who are navigating trauma, grief, and anxiety, especially during times when something difficult has happened and everything feels heavy or hard to process. You might find yourself overthinking, emotionally drained, or trying to hold it together on the outside while struggling on the inside.

For those of you silently battling pressure from within and around you, this is a warm, collaborative space for you. Life stressors like relationship difficulties, mounting responsibilities, grief, and loss can leave your mind feeling chaotic. When your brain is working overtime, it is easy to develop anxious "quick fixes" and avoidant habits to cope but end up feeling disconnected and depleted. As a dually licensed therapist in NY and Texas, I help clients navigate severe anxiety, ADHD-related challenges, and chronic stress.

While trauma can leave deep wounds and lasting scars, I believe you are infinitely more than a diagnosis, list of symptoms, or your worst experiences. You deserve to be treated as a whole person with unique needs and desires. My job as your therapist is to help you use your natural gifts and abilities to meet those needs and achieve your goals.

If you’ve spent a long time carrying things that feel "unthinkable," I want you to take a breath and know: You aren't a burden, and you don't have to have the perfect words to be here. Many of us who have experienced deep-rooted or childhood trauma become experts at hiding. We worry our stories are "too much," so we stop reaching out to avoid "heavying up" someone else's life. I offer a different kind of space—a soft place to land when the world feels overwhelming and a touchpoint of safety for your nervous system. If this hit a little bit differently for you - I'm your gal!

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
