I also help couples who are experiencing relationship issues.
Life can feel overwhelming at times, especially when stress makes even simple daily tasks seem difficult. You may find yourself withdrawing from others, struggling to adjust to a new season of life, or feeling emotions more intensely than usual. The good news is you don’t have to face this alone. I’m here to meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you move toward where you want to be. To help ease the process, the first step could be as simple as a phone call or scheduling an initial session to discuss your needs and expectations. This way, you can feel more comfortable and confident in taking the next steps.

My work focuses on helping individuals navigate grief, life transitions, anxiety, identity exploration, and relationship challenges — with a particular focus on serving LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse communities, as well as those diagnosed with cancer or in survivorship.
I support clients of all backgrounds with compassion and non-judgment. Whether you're exploring identity, facing big emotions, processing complex family dynamics, or navigating relationships, you don't have to go at it alone. I also work with neurodivergent folks to build insight and tools aligned with how they want to live their life.

I am a certified neuro-psychotherapist. I use an eclectic approach when working with clients because no two people are alike, so no two approaches should be alike in counseling. I use a variety of approaches to counseling, including cognitive-behavioral, family systems, Rational Emotive Behavioral Theory, family of origin approaches, solution-oriented, and short-term counseling. I employ a variety of techniques to assist you in clarifying your goals for change and taking steps in the desired direction. If desired, we will discuss the problems you are having from a spiritual perspective.

If you are struggling as an individual, couple, or family, counseling may help root out the distortions of emotional conflict, helping you to overcome relational and personal issues, leading to a more balanced and whole life.
Life can get messy, confusing, and depressing. Sometimes it happens at a moment’s notice, or often conflict occurs because choices are made that create turmoil over time. I would like to guide you to find clarity and peace on your journey toward a richer, fuller life. I desire to help people in a time of need. Staying true to this heart strategy, I became a licensed professional counselor in 2019. My goal is simple: I will work with you to promote a healthier mental and emotional state that leads to victory in your life.

We know that one of the biggest predictors of success in therapy is the quality of the therapeutic relationship.
Hello! My name is Brandon. I'm glad you're considering seeking help for whatever you're going through in life right now. I work with clients from diverse backgrounds, working through all sorts of things ranging from depression and anxiety to trauma and grief. I am a Christian, a husband, a father, a classically trained psychotherapist, and a combat veteran, and I believe all these parts of my identity work together to produce who I am as a counselor. All clients seeking help are important to me, but I get a special sense of fulfillment in working with military veterans and first responders.

In my practice, I don't assume that I have all the answers. I collaborate with you, the client, in a caring, respectful manner to identify personal strengths, areas for improvement and a plan to get there. I view life challenges as "keys to learning" on your life journey. I help others to understand that there is "HOPE" and that effective communication skills, increased personal insight, coping/goal-setting skills are tools you can use to dramatically improve your life and the lives of those around you. Psychotherapy is my passion and I want to help you grow and lead a successful life.

Additional specialties include helping clients through trauma/PTSD, illnesses such as cancers and autoimmune disease, and individuals/ couples who are facing infertility or repeat miscarriages.
Through my counseling practice, I desire to empower others to achieve a balanced state of wellbeing, discover their self-worth, reach their fullest potential, and live joyfully. I provide a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space for my client’s voice to be heard. Past trauma and current life transitions can be painful and difficult; however, I believe that each of us has the ability to heal and grow stronger. Counseling is a tool that helps us recognize harmful beliefs and behavior patterns, learn new skills with which to resolve problems, and facilitate lasting positive change in our lives.

I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to the therapeutic space. My passion lies in supporting children, adolescents, families, and women—especially during the powerful and complex seasons of motherhood. I create a safe, serene space for healing and growth—where clients can uncover the root of their struggles and build stronger, more connected lives. I am especially committed to promoting maternal mental health, recognizing that comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care doesn’t begin and end at the doctor’s office.

FAQ - About Couples Therapy
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
