Whether you're managing OCD, social anxiety, or the kind of persistent worry that follows you everywhere, you deserve more than white-knuckling through another day.
Let's start a collaborative journey where we understand your challenges, uncover patterns of avoidance, and set goals that feel meaningful and achievable. For OCD, social anxiety, or specific phobias, I use exposure-based therapies to help you make sense of how anxiety keeps you stuck, then gradually face fears in a way that feels safe and manageable.

Folks who come to me for therapy might experience thought spirals that disconnect them from their emotions. Folks who come to me for therapy might believe that they’re not enough in some way, or that negative emotions mean there is something wrong with them. Folks who come to me for therapy might learn that not only are they not alone in feeling this way, but that they are more enough than they believe. I have worked with a variety of folks from all walks of life, and most of my experience lies in anxiety disorders, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem issues, body-focused repetitive behaviors, and life transitions.

I believe in creating an environment which serves as a ‘soft place to land’ for my clients. When children are challenged, the entire family is challenged. By creating a positive environment where children feel accepted, valued, and safe, they are able to make sense of their world by expressing themselves in a way that feels natural to them. Children do not always have words to communicate their struggles and can become overwhelmed by big emotions. As a Registered Play Therapist, I strive to give voice to these challenges and support caregivers in navigating the sometimes difficult and very important job of parenting.

If conversations turn into arguments, emotions escalate quickly, or one person shuts down, it can feel exhausting and confusing—especially when you’re both trying. Many individuals, couples and families come to therapy feeling stuck in cycles of reactivity, emotional distance, or overwhelm despite caring deeply.
These patterns are often signs of a nervous system under chronic stress—not personal failure. I work with you to improve communication, regulate stress responses, and create emotional safety so conversations feel calmer and more productive.

I specialize in mood disorders and OCD but work with a wide range of clients.
My ideal client is someone open to exploring new perspectives and ideas in a safe and mutually respectful environment. I believe therapy works better with more engagement, so my ideal client is active in their therapy sessions. Active therapy clients also seek additional resources and opportunities for growth and practice between sessions. Active clients bring ideas and concerns for discussion rather than looking for simple instruction. My ideal client is collaborative, open, and honest.

I am an EMDR-trained counselor who specializes in working with clients grappling with OCD, personality disorders, trauma, grief, anxiety, and relationship issues.
Have you been feeling misunderstood, ashamed, scared, or honestly just completely exhausted with the difficulty of daily life?
My passion lies in guiding clients through these lonely times, offering a warm and empathetic space where healing can begin. My existential counseling approach is rooted in the belief that every person is unique and deserves a tailored therapeutic experience. Instead of simply putting a bandage on your concerns, let’s find what is causing them and heal from the source. This counseling style stems from my favorite quote: "A fool pulls the leaves, a brute chops the trunk, but a sage pulls the roots".

How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.
What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.
Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.
Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
