Helping clients and seeing the transformation that happens is one of the most fulfilling parts of my life .
I love working with couples and families of all types. Our relationships are the foundation of our lives and when there is a problem it often impacts everything. Problems often become noticeable during times of change (such as having children, moving or a job change) and can build up over time until they break the relationship. Couples often report having problems with communication, conflict management, intimacy, boundaries, parenting, and finances. Couples want to feel heard, understood, respected, connected, safe, and loved. They want to feel like their values and needs are honored in the relationship and they want to be a team.

During one of life 's emotional and spiritual cross roads my passion and mission became crystal clear. Succinctly, it is to nurture those seeking peace, joy and harmony. Before, during and after difficult and traumatic life events you may need more than the support of family and friends for life resiliency and wellness. Holistic wellness can be pursued by interweaving a nurturing therapeutic, spiritual and safe relationship with other life enriching and healing practices.

When you apply these strategies to deal with your stress, you begin to experience a more engaging and fulfilling life .
We all face challenges throughout our lives. Now, we face the stress of the Coronavirus which seems to increase daily. My focus is on helping individuals see what anxiety is—it started out as a protective strategy. Its job was to make you aware of all possible problems before they even arise…and then it got out of control. You can learn how to handle your stress differently. Remember, it is how you handle a challenge that makes the experience a "grind" or a "growing experience".

Testimonial from a former client: "Susan's approach to therapy is grounded in real neurological and behavioral science. With some past counselors, I've often been put off by vaguely new age "feel good" sessions that never sought to address the actual underlying illness. Susan has helped me to identify why I reacted or interpreted something in a certain way, and how to catch myself from repeating those thinking traps. I feel great, my family has never been happier and my work life has soared to new heights."

Sometimes life and its responsibilities can affect us in ways where we find ourselves unable to cope, or confused about where to turn for help. Hi, So as a Certified Life Coach one of my main goals is to help you move forward in your life , as opposed to a Counselor who may focus more on understanding your past traumas and the relationships from your past. So some of the main tools I utilize in my coaching are Empathic Listening and Energy Psychology. Energy Psychology is a blend of spiritual practices and psychology. One of the core belief's I work from is that our conscious and sub-conscious negative feelings, ideas, beliefs and emotions affect our ability to access our unique inner power, strength's, gifts and talents and move forward within our lives with enjoyment.

I feel honored to have worked with and learned from all of my clients who come from different socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, ethnic and religious backgrounds, and life experiences.
I am a clinical and forensic psychologist who provides psychological evaluations and compassionate, solution-focused therapy. I use a collaborative, goal-directed approach, meaning that you and I will work together to identify your specific treatment goals and regularly evaluate how well therapy is helping you to reach those goals. An individualized plan is developed based on your unique needs; there are no "cookie cutter" approaches used.

Hall-Schwarz utilizes an integrative approach with issues of interest, including: marriage issues, relationship issues, divorce, remarriage-blended families, relocation, court cases, depression, anxiety, selfesteem issues, communication, stress, life transitions, anxiety, abuse, trauma, grief, career and women's issues.
Symptoms are signals received from both the conscious mind from various sources throughout the body, an indication that something is wrong. By avoiding theses indicators, clients with extending and spiraling issues are able to address symptoms that would otherwise end in a complex and convoluted crises. Obviously our weaknesses and issues, such as anger, insecurity, fear of intimacy, and/or the need to control are expressions of a wounded child within. Much of society has been wounded through abuse or dysfunctional families. Unresolved conflicts tend to carry-over into our adult functioning.

Those nearly twenty years of a person’s life are tumultuous with change, decisions, in-n-out relationships, emotional highs and lows, and self-discovery.
We are all unique in our histories, yet feelings of anxiety, depression, loss, and love are all universal. Some days feel easy to handle, and others may feel overwhelming and unending. For many people, painful experiences outweigh the happier parts of their lives. I am so happy you have taken steps to feel better. I would love the opportunity to meet with you in person or talk via teletherapy. I would be honored to hear your story.

My goal is to establish a sense of hope and provide a warm atmosphere to encourage exploration and growth in the areas of your life that you feel could be improved. I love walking alongside my clients as they identify their strengths and find strategies to become their best selves.

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
