Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves. They may be navigating anxiety, mood challenges, ADHD, trauma, or major life transitions while feeling pressure to keep functioning on the outside. Often, they’re insightful and capable, yet stuck in patterns of burnout, overthinking, or masking their needs. They want clarity, emotional stability, and support that feels understanding rather than judgmental.

Do you find yourself repeating the same patterns in relationships only for it not to work out? Struggling to trust others or yourself? Maybe you give too much, or shut down completely. Whatever it looks like for you, these patterns often run deeper than the relationship itself. I specialize in working with adults who are navigating relational struggles rooted in attachment, and the anxiety and depression that so often come with them. Together we explore the core beliefs you formed early in life about yourself and others, and how those beliefs are quietly running the show in different areas of your life.

Ideally, we want to be and insightful, genuine, and clear voice for you in you or your child's life. It's our mission to provide "clarity in counseling." That means we want you to be able to speak to us about what you need from your counseling relationship. We want it to be a collaborative relationship that had clear goals and recommendations. We don't want to just "see you next week" if you don't need to come as it's our job for you or your child to not need counseling and we want to collaborate on a plan to get you there.

Are you your own worst critic? Maybe you spend a lot of time beating yourself up, asking questions like “What’s wrong with me?” I know because I’ve worked with so many other people with similar struggles, and as a veteran, I’ve experienced it myself. Such negative thoughts are normal when you’ve never learned to combat them. Unfortunately, they contribute to many issues such as depression and anxiety. They can even worsen symptoms from trauma. The good news is you can change your patterns of thinking. One of my favorite quotes from Marcus Aurelius is “The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.”

My approach is active, compassionate and practical, grounded in Attachment Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, CBT, Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing & more.
You have struggled with social anxiety or shyness for years and are ready to feel confident in your own skin. Don't keep letting social anxiety limit your life. Chronic unaddressed social anxiety and under-confidence can also lead to depression. I'm an experienced therapist and work with a wide range of issues, but feel especially passionate about helping people feel more fully connected with others, and that starts within yourself. I believe a therapist's task is to help clients encounter themselves differently, not just develop intellectual understanding. Change happens through lived emotional, relational experience.

You've tried to stop using substances, engaging in problematic sexual behavior or viewing pornography on your own, but can’t. Your spouse, partner or other loved ones are hurting. They say they can't trust you anymore. Even worse, you feel you can't trust yourself. Your reality now consists of escalating feelings of failure, guilt, inadequacy and shame. And again, you turn to medicate and escape your reality. The vicious cycle continues. All you want is relief. Please know, hope and healing is possible.

I'm Olivia, a virtual anxiety and trauma therapist for women in Colorado and Texas. Sometimes anxiety feels like it’s running the show— endless overthinking, second-guessing everything, and making even the smallest decisions feel overwhelming. It may seem like everything is all together on the outside, but inside it all feels out of control. I provide an affirming, inclusive space for young adult women, LGBTQ+ clients, and anyone feeling the stress of today’s world to unpack those difficult emotions and start healing. Therapy with me is a place to slow down, breathe, and begin untangling the thoughts and feelings that feel so heavy.

Schema Therapy Therapists
How does schema therapy work?
Schema therapy is based on the idea that maladaptive thought patterns formed in childhood—that other people can never be relied on, for example—can interfere with healthy functioning in adulthood. Accordingly, schema therapy works by directly targeting such unhealthy schemas, identifying their consequences, and replacing them with more adaptive ways of thinking. To this end, schema therapists aim to “reparent” the client by offering what they didn’t get in childhood—validation, for instance, or compassion—to reorient their worldview.

Is schema therapy evidence-based?
Schema therapy is still considered relatively new, and research on its efficacy is still in progress. However, some studies have concluded that it can be effective at treating certain mental health conditions, most notably personality disorders such as borderline personality disorder. Evidence for its efficacy in treating conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD is promising but less conclusive, and experts warn that much of the existing research is of low quality.

Is schema therapy a type of CBT?
Schema therapy is based on many principles of CBT, most notably the process of recognizing and challenging maladaptive thought patterns. But because schema therapy also draws from other approaches, including psychoanalysis and Gestalt therapy, it is not considered a form of CBT. It also typically delves deeper into the client’s childhood than does CBT.

How does schema therapy work?
Schema therapy does not call for a set number of sessions and is instead open-ended, with the treatment timeline depending on the client’s primary concern(s), progress, and preferences. Treatment that lasts between six months and two years is common, though many clients will start to see progress much earlier than that.
