Most of us can easily think of the obvious benefits to counseling but a mental/emotional investment is required to reap those benefits. Unfortunately there is no magic wand or magic pill and as a therapist I cannot "fix" anyone. But...I can teach you how to use your thoughts for your success rather than your destruction. I can show you how your thoughts can be used as the steering wheel of your emotions and behavior. I can help you acquire and employ cognitive and behavioral strategies that will facilitate better communication and improve the relationship with yourself and others.

Your life looks good on paper. You worked hard for a solid career and you've earned the lifestyle that you never would've dreamed of as a kid. But internally, you're exhausted in a way you can't explain to anyone around you. You told yourself you can't really complain. You told yourself you have it pretty good and that things could be so much worse. So you keep pushing through, hoping the next week off will finally be enough to recharge — but that pit in your stomach never left.

I offer a mix of evidence-based short-term therapy modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT, and brief psychodynamic psychotherapy.
It's time to live the life you want to live - and decide what that life looks like. I see adolescents and young adults (13-35) and specialize in anxiety, LGBTQIA+ issues (including identity and family conflict), eating disorders, and chronic illness. Sometimes this might mean learning and practicing new skills to help you manage problems and obstacles; other times it may mean really exploring within yourself. Frequently, it means recognizing that negative thought patterns are getting in your way - and we can work together to find individualized solutions for you!

I also believe Psychodynamic Therapy is important in looking at your childhood and how it affects your present beliefs.

I work with teens experiencing anxiety, depression, neurodivergence (ADHD/autism), and the challenges that come with adolescence. As a middle school teacher for nearly 12 years, I bring extensive experience supporting teens and helping them build confidence and coping skills. I also work with adults who feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, or relationship difficulties. Together, we identify root causes and create a path forward. Using approaches such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), I help clients process distressing experiences and move forward feeling more grounded, confident, and empowered.

I believe that we sometimes need additional support as we navigate our unique journey in life. As a young adult in my early twenties, I met with my first counselor who introduced me to a group counseling experience that brought life-changing spiritual and emotional transformation. Although I had come to counseling for one problem in my life, the therapeutic process illuminated so much more than what I could articulate or even knew I needed. This initial encounter is what drew me toward the counseling profession and deepened my passion and motivation for helping others in the same way that I have been helped.

You may be someone who has experienced distressing or disappointing relationships and wants to understand why certain patterns keep repeating. Many clients I work with are ready to heal deeply rather than move forward unchanged. You may be exploring generational trauma, mother/family wounds, attachment patterns, or beliefs that didn’t start with you but continue to shape your identity, self-worth, and choices. You’re seeking clarity, self-trust, and healthier relationships rooted in understanding rather than survival. Faith integration is also available for clients who desire this approach.

My passion is to help you uproot your trauma rather than just treat symptoms (which can often feel unhelpful and frustrating long-term). I frequently work with complex trauma/complex PTSD, attachment trauma, LGBTQIA+ identities, ADHD, Autism, and Mental Health Professionals. Clients often come to me feeling "stuck", deeply misunderstood, repeating painful patterns, having had negative therapy experiences in the past, feeling like "nothing works", and have a history of intellectualizing their feelings. It is my goal to help you work through your trauma, navigate your identity, and feel more present and safe in your every day life.

My clients often come to me with life transition issues (teens, parenting challenges, relationship issues, major life events, trauma) and are experiencing a loss of identity, lack of direction and symptoms of pervasive anxiety . Together we explore with compassion for the journey to this point, identifying the life worth living and develop a cohesive treatment plan to meet those goals. Through peeling back layers of an onion, we tackle areas of trauma, hurt, shame as we grow empathy for self and tools to start actively changing the cycle of pain. My proudest moment is when a client is able to step down in treatment as goals are met.

My therapy approach blends Psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, and Narrative Therapy, with an integrative approach tailored to address your unique needs and goals in focused intensives and individual therapy sessions.
Are you tired of a mind that won't rest and not feeling your best? Has it been harder to manage the pressure, and you can no longer ignore how burdened you feel? People may think you are composed, but you know inside you are anxious, and constant overthinking is disruptive. You are ready to stop overextending yourself and second-guessing your decisions so you can experience greater self-trust and more effective communication in your relationships. There may also be experiences from your past that are affecting your focus and preventing you from showing up fully. You dont have to keep pretending that you are okay anymore.

blend the deep self-discovery of Psychodynamic work with the practical, 'do-this-now' tools of DBT and CBT.
Does your life look perfect on paper, but feel like a constant internal sprint? If you're tired of the 'high-functioning' burnout and the weight of everyone's expectations, I can help. You might struggle with people-pleasing, attachment patterns, or feeling like you’ve lost yourself in relationships or expectations. I work with teens and adults who are self-aware but stuck in cycles they can’t break. Together, we slow things down, make sense of your patterns, and build tools that actually fit your life—so you can feel more grounded, confident, and like yourself again.
