Hello, I am Alicia Solomon and welcome to "Positive Vibes Psychotherapy!" I provide individual and group therapy sessions. I have a passion for working with couples and families. As a retired psychiatric nurse (RN) I understand the mind /body connection (also medications and their effects). Oh, and I have a PhD from a well-known seminary if you're interested in the spiritual side of issues (no preaching). I use CBT, DBT and trauma focused CBT with the goal of empowering clients to improve themselves emotionally and spiritually by enrichment of positive beliefs, effective communication and grieving through loss.

Coming to therapy might seem scary. While it does take courage, success is possible. I have gotten to hear many stories of redemption: marriages that seemed beyond hope gaining incredible intimacy, people whose lives have been riddled with anxiety finally start to take control, and mothers who feel lost in the daily struggle learning to find themselves again. It is possible and I believe you can do it. The road may not be easy but it is worth it. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral therapy and attachment theory.
