Do you assist and serve others as a therapist, healthcare provider, teacher, or family caregiver? Perhaps, you’re feeling overwhelmed and your once fulfilling work is starting to lose meaning and purpose. The world is often full of unexpected events. Even with the best-laid plans, these events can lead to struggles. While it’s a gift to care for others during difficult times, it can leave us drained, off balance, and feeling alone. You are a dedicated caregiver to others. Is it time to give yourself that care, as well?

My practice goes beyond traditional 'talk therapy'; I believe in targeting the root of the disturbance that has become frozen within the body using faith-based principles and somatic-based interventions like biofeedback and Brainspotting modalities.
My name is Constance Elaine, and my approach to therapy begins with the nervous system. Clients can expect an intuitive and compassionate experience where they can talk as little or as much as they would like about their issue or disturbance and are given tools they can implement immediately.

“Pain is generational trauma. Healing is generational wealth.” -Katie La.
In my practice, my clinicians & I specialize in trauma-informed therapy rooted in a decolonized & justice-oriented lens. That means we see you not just as an individual, but in the context of your story, your culture, your ancestors, and the systems you’ve had to navigate. Many of the people are carrying more than just personal pain — they’re carrying intergenerational wounds, cultural expectations, or the weight of having to survive in systems not built for them.

Imagine facing the world with a sense of confidence and peace instead of fear or shame. Imagine looking at your partner and being filled with feelings of love, gratitude, and excitement. Imagine waking up to feel freed from your past and free to live your future! During periods of struggle, we can feel isolated and directionless in our experience and not where to turn or what to do. As a human, I understand suffering. As a therapist, my intention is to honor every part of your humanness and walk alongside you on the path towards wellness.

My work integrates Brainspotting, EMDR-informed, and attachment-based approaches, grounded in Interpersonal Neurobiology.
I work with individuals and families navigating anxiety, trauma, and complex relational patterns. Many of my clients are thoughtful, high-functioning individuals who feel internally overwhelmed or disconnected despite outward success. I integrate an Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) lens to help clients understand how past experiences shape current emotional and relational patterns. Together, we work toward greater regulation, coherence, and a more integrated sense of self, supporting lasting and meaningful change.

What if your anxiety, self-doubt, and exhaustion aren’t signs that something is wrong—but invitations to reconnect with your deeper self? The world feels heavier than ever. The pressure to keep up, the unpredictability of what’s next, and the demand to perform can leave you wondering—How do I move? Where do I belong? How do I reclaim my power? Feeling highly anxious/emotionally reactive/disconnected from your body can create cycles of overthinking, burnout, and self-doubt. You may find yourself “performing” success while secretly battling imposter syndrome and the weight of past experiences shaping how you move through the world.

For trauma and sports-related mental blocks, we will use Brainspotting to dislodge what has gotten "stuck" in your brain.
Picture this: You are going through daily life, but inside, you feel like you aren't reaching your potential. You are a success at work, on your team, at school, and yet...you know you have potential for more. But you just can't seem to get the results you want, almost like you are "blocked," somehow. You've tried everything to get past this "block" from books to podcasts to Tik Tok reels, but you just haven't found the right solution for you.

You're capable. That doesn't mean you have to do this alone.
Maybe you're the person everyone assumes has it together, the high achiever, the reliable one, the student or professional who's always pushing forward. But underneath that, you're exhausted. Anxiety, procrastination, self-doubt, or a brain that won't quite cooperate with your to-do list have made it harder to feel like yourself, let alone perform at your best.

How does brainspotting work?
Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.
Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?
Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.
How effective is brainspotting?
Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.
How long does brainspotting take to work?
A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
