Hello! I am an LMFT in Texas and my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported as we explore your experiences and build tools for healing. Clients describe me as a calm presence who can sit with the intensity of their feelings without pulling away. Together, we’ll explore the experiences that shaped you, untangle what’s no longer serving you, and build tools that help you cope, heal, and move toward the life you want. I would love to help you navigate the challenges of depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, and neurodivergence. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected you’re in the right place.

You’ve always been the one others can count on - the responsible one, the helper, the caretaker. Maybe you’re an eldest daughter or you grew up feeling like a parent before your time. On the outside, you seem to have it all together, but inside you may feel anxious, exhausted, or weighed down by guilt, overthinking, and self-doubt.

Life can be very overwhelming and challenging. It is my belief that we possess the ability to create positive change within our lives. At times, we may feel less able to overcome the issues that we are currently facing and need to also process things that have occurred in our past. It is my goal to help people reach their potential in their lives by providing a comfortable environment for them to express themselves freely in a collaborative, non-judgmental, accepting space. I am genuine and empathetic and aim to be direct with my communication to help each person in unique ways.

You’ve carried so much. The weight of trauma, cultural tensions, and expectations that don’t always align with your values has shaped your journey. You may long to honor your roots while trying to navigate a society that doesn’t always see or understand you. You’ve worked hard, pushed forward, and built a life in many ways, but inside, you may still feel disconnected. Perhaps you’ve been told to just “adapt,” yet that adaptation has come at the cost of your authentic self. Your trauma symptoms, whether they show up as anxiety, sadness, detachment, or physical exhaustion may be impacting your relationships and your work.

I work with adolescents and adults.
I am a firm believer that life is a journey and not a destination. Sometimes on this journey of life, we will encounter experiences that we need to walk through and not run through. It's a fact that challenges are apart of our lives. Your challenges don't have to overwhelm or overtake you. I am committed to helping you to be successful in your journey. I am committed to helping you identify and do the work to be your best for yourself and for those whose lives you touch. I will provide a safe, non-judgmental environment that is conducive to an honest, empathetic and direct exchange of information and ideas.

I began my career specializing in adolescents, which naturally expanded into supporting individuals and couples as well.
Do your conversations turn into arguments that go nowhere—or silence that feels just as bad? Maybe you keep having the same fight, feel unheard, or say things you don’t mean. I help individuals and couples break these patterns, communicate more effectively, and feel understood again. I offer practical, supportive therapy with real tools you can use outside of sessions. LPC-Supervisor: I provide structured, skills-based supervision to help associates feel confident working with high-conflict clients.

Perhaps you’ve survived trauma, lost your sense of direction, or simply feel like life should feel different than it does. My belief is this: you don’t have to walk this path alone. I have years of experience working with adolescents and adults dealing with crisis, depression, and anxiety both in inpatient and outpatient settings.
You had a vision for your life, a sense of where you'd be by now, and for one reason or another, things haven’t gone as planned. Maybe you’re managing a chronic illness that’s shifted your path. Maybe self-doubt or past experiences have held you back from stepping fully into the life you imagined. You might feel stuck, disappointed, or unsure of how to move forward. If that sounds familiar, I want you to know: you're not broken, you're in a moment of transition. That moment can be a turning point. I work with people who are ready to stop living by the "should be's" and start reconnecting with what actually matters to them.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
