As a family therapist I navigate conversations in a way that catalyzes the strengths, wisdom, and support of the family system. I help my clients work through challenging times, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, set personal goals, and work toward desired outcomes.

I have a general counseling practice working with adolescent and adult individuals, as well as couples. I use individual and group therapy sessions to help people gain insight into themselves so that they can live fuller more satisfying lives. I also support clients as they move through the process of change. I see clients working through depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and LGBT issues. I work from a person centered perspective and am very passionate about my work.

Everyone who comes for counseling works on Communication and Setting Limits or Behavioral Boundaries. Clients develop decisionmaking skills so that they are more capable of solving problems for themselves when our work is done. They often know my opinions about issues because we engage with each other in a mutually respectful and direct manner. We talk about their Feelings, Thoughts, and Behaviors. I encourage and teach clients to practice good Physical and Emotional Self Care. I accept most insurances.

I have 20+ years of experience in working with children, adolescents and adults in the Metroplex. My specialties include: ADHD, anger management, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, sexual addiction, Christian counseling, marriage therapy, and substance abuse. I worked at Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth for 12 years and for 2 years at a local inpatient children & adolescent behavioral health facility. I also complete in home therapy with children and adults. I am a trauma informed cognitive behavioral therapist and EMDR trained. I accept various insurances & cash pay.
