I have 7+ years experience working with youth and young adults, with a focus on anxiety, depression and trauma .
Gloomy days of winter bring chills, and dampness, piercing our bones as it may. Bright sunny days and dancing daisies we imagine: “I can’t wait for summer” we proclaim. Yet, this chilly external display sometimes reflects our inner disposition. We reach for change while intertwined in the wintery daze around us, leaving us paralyzed. It’s the confidence and courage to move towards change⸺or starting as we say, that marks the beginning of your new story. Know that the snow will give way to new growth of the daisies and dahlias. Gloomy days fade. Embrace where you’re at, reach out and get in bloom.

That’s why I make it my first goal as a trauma -informed, attachment-based psychotherapist to foster an environment that prioritizes rapport and unconditional support.
It is an honor to witness and explore someone’s internal world — being present to explore the hurt, pain, excitement, and success. Life is difficult and always changing, and it’s important to have a place where you can explore life’s delicate and complicated ups and downs, both past and present. I have practiced in Texas since 2012, serving clients at various levels of care and within the school systems. I work with adolescent and adult clients for individual counseling. Specializing in teens transitioning from high school to college and young adults after college along .

I believe through a nurturing, positive relationship, we can explore root causes of depression, anxiety, and life dissatisfaction. Through this process, we can begin to re-shape the self to feel confident, peaceful, and hopeful. Change comes out of conflict, and healing begins when we feel safe. We will cultivate a space where you feel safe to explore your internal and external conflicts, and together we will move toward change.

While I work with a wide variety of clients, I specialize in folks with a history of trauma , those who have experienced intimate partner violence, sexual assault, or struggled with addictions.
Prioritizing yourself, and your wellness can be difficult, especially in our turbulent world. I would be honored to help you create a safe space where you can completely be yourself, and accepted for who that is. I am always amazed at the resilience and potential each of my clients have, and I would love to help you tap into that. I believe that an authentic relationship between the counselor and client is really important for change. I know I am not always the right fit for all clients, so if I'm not your cup of tea, I will help you find the counselor that is!

I specialize in treating ADHD, Trauma , Mothers (pre/postnatal, birth trauma , fertility issues, pregnancy loss.
It is okay to not be okay. In our society, we get caught up in the toxic hustle of sucking it up and pushing through. Can you be truly honest with yourself? How has that been working for you? How much energy have you exerted ignoring bad relationships, ignoring your trauma , ignoring your true and real emotions? Imagine what else you could do with that energy? How different would your life be? It's not too bold to say it can change everything! You and your kiddos are worth it.

Some of my areas of interest include trauma focused modalities that get us reconnected with our authentic self.
I have been working in the mental health field for about 8 years. Most of that time has been spent working in psychiatric hospitals completing psychiatric evaluations, group therapy, individual therapy, and crisis intervention. While I have enjoyed this work, my heart is drawn more to a holistic way of healing. I have met many people over the years who are looking for a different approach than the current medical model is providing. I would like to help others get to the root cause of their mental health issues.

I’m an experienced counselor with advanced training in trauma and emotionally focused couples therapy.
You love each other but it feels like your relationship is stuck in a rut. Maybe you have the same fights over and over. You try to bring up important conversations but always end up disconnected. You’re scared of what might happen if something doesn’t change. Old wounds or traumas are starting to crop up and threaten your relationship. You’ve already tried everything you know to do. You have attempted some conversations, gone on date night, and maybe even read books or listened to podcasts. Now, things are at the point where you know you need professional help. It's not too late to turn things around and reconnect.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, and trauma therapy, particularly with women & their relationships.
Thank you for visiting my profile. These are unusual times we are experiencing which calls for unusual methods of therapy. Currently several Employee Assistance Programs, and some Behavioral Health Insurance coverage are covering these methods. I also take private pay for clients not having or to use any provider coverage. I am practicing teletherapy where I will utilize email to send intake forms and disclosure, while the talk therapy is done on the phone. The sessions are approximately 55 minutes each, but I am encouraging my clients to call me if a crisis arises, such as increased anxiety or depressive symptoms.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
