Talking to a stranger, or anyone for that matter, about what's going on can be terrifying, am I right? When the process involves an honest conversation about your symptoms, personal struggles, grief / loss , trauma, anxiety, burnout, family problems, and abuse/addiction or other "shameful" secrets, it can keep anyone from seeking help. You may have been taught to not air family secrets or that emotions are dramatic or useless, especially the most complicated of all- grief . Nobody gets to escape grief in this process or in life. Struggling with feelings or asking for help to heal doesn't make you weak. You weren’t taught how to do this.

You are a woman who has been devastated by grief over pregnancy loss , infertility, or postpartum depression or anxiety. You desperately want to find someone to talk to about how alone and sad you feel. You feel heartbroken, ashamed, and angry lately. Your world has stopped while everyone else seems to be moving on without you. You find yourself having the same fights with your partner over and over again. Society glamorizes pregnancy and motherhood which can make you feel even more alone and misunderstood. If you see one more pregnancy announcement or social media post about the happiness of motherhood, you might lose it!

It's so easy to become overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, and unexpected obstacles that impact our lives. The uncertainties of life can make us feel stuck, a sense of loss , or hopeless. Depression can isolate us; making us feel alone and frustrated with negative self-talk and self-doubt. It takes a lot of courage to ask for help. I applaud you for taking the first steps toward control, change, and transformation in your life. Finding the right fit in a therapeutic relationship is crucial in supporting your journey; let's work together in grounding identity, building strengths, exploring expression, and reconnecting the imagination.

Hello and thank you for stopping by. When we say trauma, our go to is typically one event that has left us with symptoms of post traumatic stress. However, accumulated life cycle and emotional traumas can have significant impact to our function as well. These are the events that test our resilience and our emotional survival on a daily basis. Over time, it can feel as though “it” has changed us in a way we struggle to articulate. Sometimes we lay awake at night wondering how can we ever get back to normal. Sound familiar? I am here to help.

As human beings, we all experience stressors throughout our lives and some of us endure traumatic experiences, which can lead us to feel hopeless and broken at times. Even in our darkest hours we have unique strengths that can be temporarily lost within the storm. We all have the choice and power within to find healing and to ultimately change ourselves and our situation in the process. When we cannot find the answers in the world around us, it is time to look within.

Grief Therapists
Grief and Bereavement is the acute pain that accompanies loss. Because it is a reflection of what we love, it can feel all-encompassing. Grief is not limited to the loss of people, but when it follows the loss of a loved one, it may be compounded by feelings of guilt and confusion, especially if the relationship was a difficult one.
