I blend approaches like play, art, CBT, and trauma-informed care to meet each child, teen, or young adult where they are.
I help children, teens, and young adults dealing with big emotions, behavior challenges, anxiety, sadness, or changes at home, school, or work. Many feel overwhelmed or misunderstood and want support in expressing themselves, managing stress, and feeling more confident. Caregivers often want clarity, guidance, and a plan that truly helps. These young people want to understand their feelings, improve coping skills, and strengthen relationships so they can feel more in control of their lives.

My clinical focuses included matters related to the adoption triad, developmental trauma and PTSD, grief & loss, compassion-fatigue (i.e., burnout, secondary trauma), estrangement and family preservation, and general impasse.
Update: Starting January 2026, I am no longer accepting CO Medicaid. In my therapeutic work, I endeavor to create an environment that allows my clients to center-out, to breathe, to explore, to undertake, to dare, to dream, to change course, and to reconnect. As a would-be-adventurer with a penchant for curiosities and the unknown, I look forward to embarking on uncharted paths with my clients. In journeying alongside my client, my hope is that upon reaching the trailhead of their path, they're able to look around and exclaim "everything is in its right place."

Many of the clients I work with are children and families seeking help because a child is struggling with big feelings like anxiety, fear, sadness, anger, or the effects of trauma, abuse, or neglect.
I specialize in providing in-person therapy for children, adolescents, and families. I use play therapy to help kids express emotions and experiences they may not have words for yet, and I integrate mindfulness strategies to build healthy coping skills, calm anxiety, and improve emotional regulation. My practice is grounded in trauma-informed care.

I use trauma-focused care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and solution-focused techniques to help clients understand themselves and build healthier ways of coping.
I love helping all people navigate anxiety and the ups and downs of everyday life—because let's be honest, it can get a little chaotic. I aim to create a space that feels supportive, nonjudgmental, and real, where you can be yourself. Along the way, I'll help you gain insight, build tools, and maybe even share a few laughs as you grow into the version of yourself you're working toward.

I work with those struggling in relationships or healing relational trauma, guiding them toward healthier connections.
Life doesn’t have to feel this heavy. You deserve a life that feels empowering and fulfilling. Anxiety, depression, stress, & the daily grind can wear us down until it feels never-ending. Sometimes even our closes relationships—usually a source of life and joy—can leave us feeling defeated and drained. If this sounds familiar, let’s talk. I don’t have a magic wand, but I do bring life experience that helps me understand where you’re coming from, clinical expertise to guide your healing, and a deep belief that every person is created for a purpose. My goal is to help you reconnect with yourself & find inspiration in your life again.

I have also received training in the area of Trauma and PTS.
Reaching out takes great courage, especially when someone is seeking guidance. Life has the tendency to cause people to cope in ways that are not necessarily beneficial. They may develop problems like depression or anxiety as a result of stressors. Or, they may turn towards abusing substances as a way to change how they feel. Reaching out for help during this time may be scary and seem impossible. My goal, as a therapist, is to come alongside my clients so that they don’t walk alone through whatever may be troubling them. I hope to be able to help anyone struggling to deal with life on life’s terms.

My style is warm, trauma-informed, and grounded in genuine human connection, with a sprinkle of humor.
I work with women who are tired of trying to earn their worth. On the outside, you seem confident, capable, and put together. But inside, you carry a persistent fear that you're somehow not good enough—that if people saw the real you, they'd be disappointed. So you work hard to be who everyone wants you to be—dependable, successful, easygoing, and polite. The one "we don't have to worry about." You put pressure on yourself to get things right and often hold yourself to standards you would never expect from anyone else. Perfectionism and people-pleasing are second nature, and no matter how hard you work, it rarely feels like enough.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
