My specialty focuses on existential crises, grief, loss, death, aging, family conflict, anxiety, spirituality, chronic pain, depression , suicidal ideation, mood disorders, life purpose, and meaning.
Greetings. I welcome the engagement of one's philosophical, spiritual, and existential leanings as another means of analysis and psychotherapy treatment. The process of psychoanalytic therapy focuses on the "science of the unconscious" attaining to the truth of one's individual & familial experience. My therapeutic framework is one of Eastern and Western integration with that of philosophy, psychoanalysis, and relational psychotherapy. I seek to offer in-depth treatment promoting inquiry. As in the words of Socrates - “Wonder is the beginning of wisdom."

I am here to help those who are struggling to enjoy life, whether that is due to depression , anxiety, stress, trauma, relational distress, or life adjustments. Together we can discover the changes that will bring you peace, strength, and healing. It is important to me that you feel safe and understood. My goal is to help you understand how your life experiences have shaped the way you think and feel and how you relate to others. This insight can be used to challenge false beliefs you have created about yourself and the world. We cannot always control our circumstances, but we can learn to be secure within ourselves.

I have experience working with survivors of sexual assault, abusive relationships, and those challenged by depression and anxiety.
“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become” – Carl Jung. These words inspire me as I work with individuals and groups seeking to heal trauma and manage symptoms of depression and anxiety. I firmly believe adverse events do not have to define us. As a therapist I want to offer you a safe space to do your work, evidence-based tools to facilitate growth, and support on your journey.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
